Spongebob Squarepants Marathon Planned for July

Spongebob Squarepants Marathon Planned for July

Nickelodeon is planning a “Super Spongy Square Games” event this Saturday, July 21. The marathon will consist of sports-themed episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants, such as “Extreme Spots”, which is notable for having Johnny Knoxville (as Johnny Krill) as a guest. The other episodes will be “Squirrel Record”, “Demolition Doofus”, and “Face Freeze”. The new episodes will premiere at 8 PM, with Nick also offering a 2 hour marathon of older episodes starting at 9AM on the same day.

As for the new episodes, “Extreme Spots” follows Spongebob and Patrick as they try to do their best to join The Drasticals extreme sports team, no matter how extreme, dangerous, or stupid it gets. The episode will see the duo try their hand at sand motor biking, hang gliding, seashell surfing and even extreme bubble blowing.

In “Squirrel Record”, Sandy tries to break the current world record for the most number of world records beaten in record time, and joining her is Spongebob, who mostly tries to just help Sandy accomplish her insurmountable tasks, which include World’s Longest Tooth, Spiciest chili Gargle, and Most Chainsaws Juggled.

The third new episode, “Demolition Doofus,” Mrs. Puff enlists Spongebob into the Demolition Derby, where his natural lack of driving skills and tendency to crash actually makes him one of the best in the sport.

In “Face Freeze”, Spongebob and Patrick try to outdo each other in the most extreme sports of all – seeing who can hold a “funny face” the longest! Of course, things turn for the worse and they end up having their “funny face” stuck.
