Harrison Ford Injured During Star Wars Episode VII Filming
Star Wars: Episode VII has encountered its first major production hiccup, as one of the main cast, Harrison Ford (who originally played Han Solo in the original trilogy), has reportedly broken his ankle on the set due to an accident involving the door of the Millenium Falcon.
“Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII,” reads the official announcement. “He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care.”
The studio confirmed that shooting will continue as planned while the actor is recuperating. The details are still scarce regarding the plot, but Ford is said to play a major plot alongside old co-stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
