Star Wars Rebels Will End on March 5

Bittersweet news for fans of the Star wars Rebels series, as Disney XD has recently announced that the final episodes of the critically acclaimed CG animated series will start airing on Monday, February 19 at 9pm. Two back-to-back episodes will air every Monday for three weeks, with a special 90-minute conclusion capping things off on Monday, March 5 at 8:30pm.

It’s not all sad news, because it was also revealed that Emperor Palpatine will be making his series debut in the final episodes, and he will be voiced by Ian McDiarmid, who play the character in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. There’s also a trailer released to get you ready, which you can watch below:

Star Wars Rebels is created by Emmy-winning executive producer Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Oscar-nominee Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Emmy-nominee Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm Animation production is executive produced by Filoni and Kinberg, and co-executive produced by Emmy nominee Henry Gilroy. The voice cast includes Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex, David Oyelowo as Kallus, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Governor Pryce, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Warwick Davis as Rukh.
