Netflix, Arad Animation, and 41e Partner for Kong – King of the Apes

Netflix Inc and 41 Entertainment have jointly announced a new series slated for worldwide release in 2016 titled Kong – King of the Apes. The original animated TV series comes from executive producer Avi Arad, who’s been a producer of many movies and TV series based on iconic superhero franchises such as Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk. His most recent projects also include the wildly popular Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which started airing last year.

Kong – The King of the Apes will be CG animated and will consist of a full length feature film followed by 12 x 30 minute episodes. The series is set far in the future, with Kong still considered as the strongest creature ever born with many human traits, making him the ultimate iconic hero. The official synopsis:

41e’s Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures Gets New International Deals

41 Entertainment has recently announced that their hit CG animated comedy series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures has licensed its home entertainment rights (including home video, electronic sell-through, and transactional video on demand rights) to Universal Pictures Germany for the German speaking territories of Europe. Universal Pictures Germany has also acquired seasons 1 and 2 as well as two specials (Pac’s Scary Halloween and Santa Pac’s Merry Berry day) scheduled for a major fall 2014 launch.

Pac-Man Scores New Licensing Deals Amid Strong International Roll-Out

41 Entertainment has recently announced that their Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures property has just achieved a strong international roll-out, with the TV series itself performing above expectations in key markets, including Spain, France, UK, Russia, Israel, India, Korea, Eastern Europe, Turkey, and Canada.

Additionally, many new markets – including he Nordics, Benelux, Portugal, Italy, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, the Middle East, South East Asia, Latin and Central America and Germany will launch during the year.

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures Gets Additional Episodes for Season 2

41 Entertainment, Namco Bandai Games, and Arad Productions have recently announced that they have commissioned 13 additional episodes for the second season of the hit CG animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which brings its 39 x 22 episodes to a whopping 52 x 22. The full season will be premiering in the U.S. via Disney XD.

Giromax Gets New Multi-Territory License for Pac-Man Merchandise

41 Entertainment and its agent in Spain, BRB Internacional, have jointly announced that they have granted a license to Giromax for the Pac-MAn and the Ghostly Adventures property. The license will apply to collectible trading cards and albums, as well as collectable stickers and albums targeted to kids aged 5 to 10 years old. The deal will cover the North American, European (except Iberia), Australian, and Dutch market.

Pac-Man Gobbles Up New UK Licensing Deals

41 Entertainment and its UK agent Lisle International have jointly announced that they have secured three new YK deals for apparel and publishing for the PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures property. The 26 x 22 TV series is scheduled to air in English-speaking markets by fall 2013 and some of the broadcasters that have already signed up include Disney XD in the US, SKY in the UK, and TEN Network in Australia, followed by a number of other key markets in late 2013 and spring 2014 supported by a strong licensing and merchandising program.

The first licensee is Blues Clothing, which aims to launch a rang of garments for the property, including children’s and adult wear. The product line is slated for an autumn 2013 release. Next up is Titan Publishing, which will produce a stand-alone PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures magazine. Pedigree Books will also publish a 2014 annual on August 1, 2013.
