Fox’s Animation Domination HD Releases Goodbye, Ghibli Video

Fox’s Animation Domination HD shorts are known for poking fun at established animated properties, including anime heavyweights Naruto and videogame icon Sonic the Hedgehog. So when they recently posted a new video titled “Goodbye, Ghibli,” people naturally assumed that it’s going to skewer Studio Ghibli and its properties.

Everybody got taken for a swerve, though, as Goodbye Ghibli is actually a well-meaning tribute to the Japanese studio, serving as a response to the recent announcement regarding their decision to dissolve their production department.

The report says that the plug will be pulled on June 28, 2014. Fox ADHD will continue as a means of testing and development for animated content through digital platforms, including FoxADHD.com. It is said that the decision to end the broadcast version stems from low ratings.

Fox Spoofs Attack on Titan

Not content with just a Naruto spoof, Fox’s Animation Domination High Def returns with another anime-related spoof short, this time featuring a humorous take on the massively popular Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan. In the short, Mikasa, Armin, and Eren finally come face to face with a Titan that they can’t kill, not because it’s beyond the means of their abilities as soldiers, but because it’s simply too cute to kill.

Masashi Kishimoto’s extremely popular shonen manga series Naruto is already nearing its end (although not in the same level as Tite Kubo’s Bleach, which is already on its last story arc), but there’s still a lot of curveballs being thrown around and fans have no idea how the series will end. Fox’s Animation Domination, however, has a few ideas on how the series and the long running rivalry between two of its main characters, Naruto and Sasuke, should end.
