First Official Trailer for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Sequel

cloudy 2

The first trailer for the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs sequel has been released, showing just exactly what you can expect from the movie as far as humor is concerned. Let’s just say if you’re a fan of wordplay and puns on food names, chances are you’re going to have a heck of a good time with the movie.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 will pick up after the events of the first film, with inventor Flint Lockwood having joined Live Corp and has been tasked with cleaning up an island populated by the weird food-animal mutants that evolved from the food that was left over from the first movie. Then cue a ton of weird creatures with pun-tastic names, such as the tacodiles, the mosquitoast, shrimpanzees, piethons, etc. Take a look at the trailer before:

New Hotel Transylvania Trailer

New Hotel Transylvania Trailer

We’re still a long ways away from Halloween, but Sony is already hoping to prep our spirits for the spooky season by releasing a new trailer of their upcoming horror comedy CG animated film Hotel Transylvania.

Directed by TV animation veteran Genndy Tartakovsky, Hotel Transylvania revolves around Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) who is planning to throw a party for his daughter Mavis’ 18th birthday (voiced by Selena Gomez, who replaced Miley Cyrus for undisclosed reasons). However, his plans go awry when a human boy (voiced by Andy Samberg) arrives in his monsters-exclusive hotel and develops a crush on Mavis. Now, Dracula is torn between keeping the human boy away from Mavis and protecting said boy from being torn apart by Hotel Transylvania’s tenants.

The Guardians of Childhood gets a new release date from DreamWorks Animation

There’s a lot of shuffleboard being played with animated movies. Monsters, Inc. 2 has a new date, Beauty and the Beast 3D was pulled, and now it appears DreamWorks Animation has followed suit, changing the release date of their upcoming film The Guardians of Childhood (not to be confused with Guardians of Ga’Hoole’s Legend of the Guardians). In an effort to combat the mega popular Twilight Saga franchise and their upcoming Breaking Dawn, The Guardians moves from opening November 2nd 2012 to opening on November 21st 2012. The film features a group of heroes from various childhood tales: Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, a Genie, the Sandman, and Jack Frost. The group joins together in an effort to stop Pitch the Boogeyman from sending the world into “eternal darkness”. The CG animated comedy, “a contemporary fairytale”, is based on the books by William Joyce.
