First Official Ant-Man Image Featuring Paul Rudd Released

After suffering through various setbacks and delays, Marvel’s big screen adaptation of Ant-Man has finally entered the production stage. To celebrate the rolling of cameras, Marvel has released the first ever official image from the shoot. The image features actor Paul Rudd, who’s been cast in the role of Scott Lang, one of the lucky blokes to don the Ant-Man costume.

Possible Cameos Link Ant-Man Movie to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe

Marvel’s big screen adaptation of Ant-Man is getting ready to start filming, and Latino Review has once again released a rumor regarding potential cameos that could link the film to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the Latino Review team, an early draft of the Ant-Man script contains a scene in which Hank Pym has a meeting with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, and Arnim Zola, which links the film directly to the Captain America films. Additionally, the meeting is said to include a young Alexander Pierce, whose older version was played by Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Ant-Man to Use Some of Edgar Wright’s Visuals

Even though Edgar Wright has already left Marvel’s Ant-Man film adaptation, his fans should be glad to know that the studio isn’t entirely abandoning his vision. Besides the fact that his replacement, Peyton Reed, has already admitted to being influenced somewhat by Wright, Marvel bigwig Kevin Feige has also confirmed that they are not scrapping Wright’s ideas and will instead build on top of it.

Edgar Wright Left Ant-Man Due to Script Changes

Edgar Wright’s sudden departure from Marvel’s big screen adaptation of Ant-Man was talk of the town these past few days. Wright himself issued a polite statement saying that he left due to “differences in vision,” and several other people associated with Marvel chimed in to confirm that they are not siding with either side and are just sad to see Wright go.

Disney Pushes Ant Man Movie Forward to Summer of 2015

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The House of Mouse has just changed the release date of their upcoming Ant Man movie project from November 6, 2015 to July 31, 2015, which means Marvel fans who’ve been waiting for the new comic book adaptation will get to see it much sooner.

The Ant Man feature will be directed by Edgar Wright and will focus on the Marvel character Henry Pym, who is a brilliant scientist that invented a way to change size. However, a hitch in his experiments results in an unexpected ability to communicate with insects.

On October 25th, fans can bring Cap home, along with Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Hawkeye, and many other heroes in the latest DVD collection of the cartoon, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Volume 3: Iron Man Unleashed. The compilation includes 6 episodes: Masters of Evil, 459, The Man Who Stole Tomorrow, Come the Conqueror, The Kang Dynasty, Widow’s Sting., following the first 13 episodes released earlier this year. Iron Man is pretty cool. So’s Captain America. And the Hulk? He’s awesome. On their own, Marvel’s super heroes have saved the day countless times, defeating their own sets of villains on a regular basis. But what happens when the threat to Earth is too large for one of them to handle alone? That’s when they form their own super team: The Avengers. Much like Cartoon Network’s Justice League using DC Comics’ stable of heroes, Disney will be showcasing Marvel’s side this October 20th in the new series The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! For the premiere of the Marvel Animation toon, look for back-to-back episodes starting at 8:30pm on Disney XD. As if that news weren’t enough to get you pumped, the team has a series of “micro episodes” to hype everyone up for the big debut. Check out the first few, and the trailer, after the break!

The Marvel Animation and Film Roman toon, set to debut just after this summer, will feature a number of Marvel’s giants, including; Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, the Wasp, Absorbing Man, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, JARVIS, Wonder Man, Black Panther, the Masters of Evil, Loki, and Odin.
