Despite the nasty fallout between creator Hideo Kojima and publisher Konami, it looks like fans of the franchise will still get some chance to revisit…
Netflix Inc and 41 Entertainment have jointly announced a new series slated for worldwide release in 2016 titled Kong – King of the Apes. The original animated TV series comes from executive producer Avi Arad, who’s been a producer of many movies and TV series based on iconic superhero franchises such as Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk. His most recent projects also include the wildly popular Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which started airing last year.
Kong – The King of the Apes will be CG animated and will consist of a full length feature film followed by 12 x 30 minute episodes. The series is set far in the future, with Kong still considered as the strongest creature ever born with many human traits, making him the ultimate iconic hero. The official synopsis:
41 Entertainment, Namco Bandai Games, and Arad Productions have recently announced that they have commissioned 13 additional episodes for the second season of the hit CG animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which brings its 39 x 22 episodes to a whopping 52 x 22. The full season will be premiering in the U.S. via Disney XD.
41Entertainment, NAMCO BANDAI Games, and Arad Productions have just jointly announced that the TV premiere of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures on Disney XD UK last Saturday delivered strong ratings via back-to-back launch episodes.
