New Green Lantern: The Animated Series Clips - Love is a Battlefield

Warner Bros. has just released a couple of new clips and a bunch of images for this week’s episode of Green Lantern: The Animated Series, titled “Love is a Battlefield.” The episode (which bears the same title as a Pat Benatar song) looks to be the show’s tribute to Valentines, as it deals with a subject familiar to all of us: Love. Except in the Green Lantern universe, the power of love isn’t always positive especially when wielded by a Zamaron, or when influencing an evil supercomputer.

In “Love is a Battlefield,” the evil Aya Monitor invaded the planet Zamaron by herself, blaming the Star Sapphires for the pain she feels from her heartbreak. Carol Ferris is once again summoned in order to represent Love in a battle against the champion of Hate: Red Lantern’s Atrocitus. You can check out the clips and images below:

Everyone looooves the Green Lantern Corps. Known through out the universe as the patrolling “space cops,” the Green Lanterns have been saving lives and worlds for centuries, doing what they can to keep the peace. They’re so revered, they even get their own name in the title of Cartoon Network’s latest toon from the world of DC Comics, Green Lantern: The Animated Series. But there’s so much more to the show than just the color green – the CG cartoon also formally introduces the animated world to the Red Lantern Corps, filled with fire, rage, and hate, from their leader Atrocitus down to the very red rings they wield. With this group serving as the main villains to Hal Jordan, Aya, and Kilowog’s adventures in Frontier Space, let’s take a deeper look at some of the red stars.
