Official Trailer for Sony’s Peanuts Movie

A bunch of pictures from Fox and Blue Sky’s upcoming CG animated adaptation of Peanuts is already floating around on the Internet, but for those of you who are skeptical of non-moving images and their ability to show a film’s quality, the official trailer has finally been released by Fox. And it’s in HD, too.

People who don’t want the franchise to turn into CG should be glad to know that it’s not trying to be realistic. In fact, the CG feels more like a cross between stop motion and the original 2D.

New Trailer for RIO 2

Fox and Blue Sky have just released a new trailer for their CG Animated sequel, Rio 2. The film will see the return of Carlos Saldanha to the director’s seat, and will be premiering on April 11, 2014.

Rio 2 will follow Blu, Jewel, and their three kids as they leave their domesticated life in the city of Rio de Janeiro behind, in order to journey to the Amazon forest, where they encounter a group of characters that can only be described as “born to be wild.” However, things start to go pear-shaped when Blu realizes that their Amazonian habitat is under threat and that their old nemesis Nigel the cockatoo is back for revenge.

Preview of Blue Sky Studios’ Epic

Blue Sky Studios’ co-founder Chris Wedge recently released a video showing off a few key scenes from the upcoming CG animated feature, Epic, and talked about his inspirations behind the much anticipated fantasy feature:

““Whenever I start thinking about a new project, I begin to imagine it as a cool place to visit,” he noted. “In in this case that place is the forest, the woods behind your house, a park near you or a summer camp when you grew up. Like any forest there’s a battle between forces of life and forces of decay. Our movie gets to visit that world in a special way.”

Epic is based on William Joyce’s popular illustrated book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs, and follows a teenage girl who finds herself in the middle of an ongoing battle between the miniature good Leaf Men and the evil forces of darkness, the Boggens. There’s a new trailer out for Fox and Blue Sky Studio’s upcoming 3D CG adventure movie, Epic, which is scheduled to hit the big screens on May 24, 2013.
