Adult Swim scores big with Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III

Was the force with you? Cartoon Network recently rolled out a several-part Robot Chicken special entitled Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III, and fan reaction could not have been better! Filling out an hour of the Adult Swim program block, the episode focused on Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Gary the Stormtrooper each revealing secret side stories that filled the Star Wars mythos. The Emmy Award winning Robot Chicken stop-motion animated series was heavily praised for Episode I and Episode II over the past few years, and fans were not disappointed with the completion of the trilogy, as ratings were far from the Dark Side.

Lucasfilm is in the midst of a three part season finale with this Friday’s (April 23rd’s) episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Death Trap. This is the 20th episode of the second season of the Cartoon Network series, and features an appearance of fan favorite character Boba Fett, voiced by Daniel Logan. Boba Fett debuted in the original trilogy some 30+ years ago, and despite a relatively silent role, has long since been an icon to Star Wars loyalists.
