We would like to thank Bruce Timm and Jim Krieg for their time on the red carpet in Washington DC. They pulled out all the stops to make this film special for DC Comics and Batman fans alike. We hope you are able to see Batman: Gotham by Gaslight to learn why Bruce and Jim thought there needed to be more suspects in this animated adaptation than there were in the original graphic novel, so the audience could really get caught up in the “whodunit” and they could stretch it out to 74 minutes.

Bruce Greenwood, who is widely known for his roles as the President of the United States in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Thirteen Days, and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, as well as his role as Admiral Pike in Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness, is returning to an animated role he has had great success with in Batman: Under the Red Hood, the Young Justice animated series and the Young Justice: Legacy video game.

Warner Premiere is following Crisis on Two Earths with Batman: Under the Red Hood, based on the comic book tale by Judd Winick, author of DC Comics‘ Batman. The adaptation of Winick’s 2005 story “Under the Hood” is set to hit video stores on July 27th, in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, featuring the voice talents of Bruce Greenwood as Batman, Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing, John DiMaggio as the Joker, Wade Williams as Black Mask, Jason Isaacs as Ra’s al Ghul, Kelly Hu as Ms. Li, and Jim Piddock as Alfred Pennyworth. Warner Bros. offers a sneak peek of Batman: Under the Red Hood

On July 27th, the DC Comics Universe will expand to video once again, as Warner Bros. debuts the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Produced by Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League vet Bruce Timm, the film depicts Batman going toe-to-toe against his former sidekick, Jason Todd, the second Robin. Starring the voice talents of Bruce Greenwood, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jensen Ackles, the direct-to-DVD disc joins a long line of successful Warner Premier efforts, like Wonder Woman and Green Lantern: First Flight. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait another full month to get a look at the animated style, as DC has ushered out a sneak peek clip. Check it out!
