Nickelodeon Celebrates Spring with Brand New Episodes of Hit Shows

This coming Monday, April 14, Nickelodeon will be celebrating a spring full of bunnies, duckies, puppies and guppies as both Nick and Nick Jr.! will be debuting all new episodes of their top rated preschool shows Bubble Guppies, Peter Rabbit, and PAW Patrol. The celebration will also start a little bit earlier, as Nick Jr. will be launching the new animated preschool series Zack & Quack on Saturday, April 5, at 1 PM.

Zack & Quack is set inside the pages of a whimsical pop-up book and its story focuses on the adventures of a vibrant and courageous 7 year old boy named Zack and his impulsive young duck friend Quack. The duo’s adventures take place in the pop up settings from their book. The show teaches kids how to solve problems using their creativity and imagination.

Bubble Guppies Pay Tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien in The Puppy and the Ring

This coming Thursday, December 5, at 7 to 8 PM, Nickelodeon will be debuting an epic new Bubble Guppies primetime special titled “The Puppy and the Ring,” which is inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic literary masterpiece The Lord of the Rings, and will feature Arrested Development’s Jeffrey Tambor as the voice of an evil Night Wizard.

Corus Entertainment’s hit preschool series Bubble Guppies has recently taken part in the Daytime Emmy Award, winning in the category of Outstanding Preschool Animated Program for its second season. The 40th Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy® Awards was held last Friday evening in downtown LA, where various TV productions in the Daytime genre are honored.

Bubble Guppies is currently airing its third season in Nickelodeon, as well as in Canada’s #1 preschool network Treehouse. The CG animated series follows a group of diverse preschoolers with colorful fish tails who go on adventures discovering their world.

Nickelodeon’s newest educational app, Bubble Guppies: Animal School Day, has reached the top of the educational app list in the US and Canada, and became the number two paid app domestically within 48 hours of going live. Launched last Thursday, Nov. 1, the app brings the swim-sational world of the Bubble Guppies to life on mobile devices as kids join Molly, Gil, Mr. Grouper, and all their friends in exciting interactive actitivites.

If you’ve ever watched comedy movies in the last decade or so, chances are you’ve already caught a glimpse of Wanda Sykes – the sharp voice, the make no compromises attitude, the sassy put-downs. Sure, you may not recognize her by name but she makes an impression. This Sunday, February 19 at 8 PM, Wanda Sykes will lend her trademark voice to Nickelodeon’s top rated preschool series Bubble Guppies, in its first ever hour long special entitled Bubble Puppy’s Fin-tastic Fairy Tale Adventure.

After proving to be Nickeleodeon’s number one rated TV show for preschoolers, Bubble Guppies has been given another chance this fall with new episodes already on the way even though the current season is still ongoing. Bubble Guppies is a preschool oriented musical TV show that premiered back in January of this year, and follows the story of mermaid preschoolers Deema, Nonny, Oona, and Goby as they find all sorts of adventure in their day-to-day underwater lives. The show also features merfolk Gil and Molly, who act as the show’s hosts and sings along with the kids. The show also features a bunch of zany sea creatures such as crabs and lobsters.

Nickelodeon is gearing up for a brand new season to launch this September on a global front. Over on Nickelodeon UK, as well as the United Kingdom’s version of Nicktoons and Nick Jr., there’s all sorts of animated goodness just waiting to mesh with fans. Included in the mix are: T.U.F.F. Puppy on Nick, and Dora the Explorer, Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, Peppa Pig and Poppy Cat, and Olive the Ostrich making appearances on Nick Jr., with a special three-part Dora adventure, Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventure, in November. Nicktoons will join in with Penguins of Madagascar, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Grizzly Tales, Planet Sheen and The Troop. That’s a lot of animation!

Nickelodeon’s kid sister network, Nick Jr., has really beefed up it’s menu of animated series. Amongst the new entries is the CG animated series Bubble Guppies, about an underwater world where kids, merfolk, pets, and fish can interact with one another. The 3D toon, created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt of Backyardigans fame, debuted as the biggest preshool series in three years on Nickelodeon, leading to pickups by France Television, Singapore’s OKTO, and Malaysian NTV7. January 2011 is officially Nickelodeon's biggest January ever

For roughly 30 years, Nickelodeon has been providing kids with some of the greatest TV content ever seen, with special nods to their animated adventures. However, never before, in the history of the network, have there been more viewers in the month of January than in the just-ended January of 2011. In the ratings column of Total Viewers, Nickelodeon’s January scored a 2.4 million average, bolstered by the premiere of House of Anubis, Bubble Guppies, and of course the 75-minute SpongeBob SquarePants special, Legends of Bikini Bottom, which itself scored amazingly high ratings. And with SpongeBob and other favorites going strong into the future, things are looking to get even better for Nick!
