Fanimation: From Pixar to Richard Sargent robots asking where’s Wall-E

Fanimation: From Pixar to Richard Sargent robots asking where's Wall-E

Throughout the history of Hollywood, there’s been an incredible collection of robots. C-3PO and R2-D2 from Star Wars, Bender from Futurama, Rosie from the Jetsons, countless Tarnsformers and Go-Bots, etc. Hopewell Studio’s Richard Sargent, through a process that must have seemed bionic, actually sat down to draw a collage of nearly 200 bots, posing together in a classic group shot, and hiding one of animation’s favorite bots: Wall-E from the recent Disney and Pixar film. It’s a Where’s Wall-E game, just like the classic Where’s Waldo ones. Sure, it’s awesome to hunt for the little guy, but even more enjoyable just going through the entire project, looking for all the other robots you remember. In fact, there’s even a blank version so that you can number your guesses to see how many you can name. Give it a try!

The Padawan Menace brings LEGO Star Wars to Cartoon Network

The Padawan Menace brings LEGO Star Wars to Cartoon Network

When a routine Jedi Academy field trip is turned into some sort of cosmic adventure, we figure this has to be the makings of some awesome new Star Wars bit. Apparently, LEGO thought the same thing, as they’re currently working on a made-for-TV special movie based in the LEGO Star Wars universe called The Padawan Menace. Master Yoda leads a group of Jedi kids through the Senate chambers when the aging Jedi sense a disturbance in the Force. As he dashes to save the Republic, he quickly realizes he isn’t alone, and is instead giving a space tour on a more dangerous note! Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite droids C-3PO and R2-D2 are in charge of those left behind. It takes an all out effort to keep things under control – and even more so with the Sith reveal their plans! TOON in July 22nd, when it all goes down on Cartoon Network. In the meantime, check out the full details in the press release

Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars readies season 4

Cartoon Network's Star Wars: The Clone Wars readies season 4

Clone Wars season 3 might be over, but the fun of the year, and especially the finale, is still fresh in everyone’s mind. And though there is still half a year (or more!) until Cartoon Network is ready to kick off Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 4, the folks behind the scenes are already gearing things up! What’s that mean for our viewing enjoyment? Specifically, more intense battles of the Clone War between the Republic and Separatists. As the timeline continues to evolve the hidden chapters set forth by the movies in the Star Wars universe, we’re seeing more of a true realization of the Clone Wars characters’ impact. And with that movie-like relation in mind, producers have promised more three-part story arcs in future episodes, giving more than an hour for each story to progress. So get ready, Jedis; the best is yet to come.

Jar Jar Wars

Jar Jar

As reported last week, Jar Jar made an appearance in this past weekend’s episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  In the show, Jar Jar paired up with C-3PO, as the two travel to save Padme.  Jar Jar doesn’t have the best reputation amongst Star Wars fans, but apparently his appearance in the Cartoon Network show went better than expected.  What’d you think?

Jar Jar Binks hits The Clone Wars

Jar Jar Binks

He’s’a Jar Jar Binks sir?  He’s’a’gonna be on Star Wars?  Yes, he’s’a…  wait…  blblblblb,…  sorry about that.  So, ahem.  Jar Jar Binks, from Star Wars: Episode 1, will be in a new episode of Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars called “Bombad Jedi.”  Jar Jar Binks and C-3PO team up to save Padme Amidala from the evil Viceroy Nute Gunray, which is made more complicated when the Separatists assume that the Gungan is a Jedi.  Tune in this Friday, November 21st, at 9PM and see for yourself!

Padmé and Anakin Unite in The Clone Wars

Padmé and Anakin Unite in The Clone Wars

Padmé Amidala and C-3PO made a memorable entrance in their Star Wars: The Clone Wars series debuts this past weekend.  The episode, entitled Destroy Malevolence, hit Cartoon Network on Friday, and fans haven’t stopped chatting about it since!  (did you see it??) In the episode — the final act of a three-episode arc — Padmé and C-3PO are taken hostage by General Grievous, leaving Anakin and Obi-Wan to save the Senator and complete the destruction of the Malevolence.
