New HOP Mini Movie

New HOP Mini Movie

The hit CG animated movie HOP is coming to Blu Ray and DVD this week, and as a way of reminding you of the humor and hijinks of the rebellious young rabit E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), Universal Studios has released “Phil’s Dance Party”, a new mini movie starring fan-favorite chicks Phil and Carlos showing off their (well, Phil’s) infectious dance moves:

Universal’s Hop rocks from April 1st through Easter Day

Universal's Hop rocks from April 1st through Easter Day

On April 1st, Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment brought Hop to theaters. The live-action and CG hybrid film tells the story of E.B., a teenage rabbit who leaves his home on Easter Island to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer in Hollywood, rather than take over his father’s role as the Easter Bunny. Once in California, E.B. meets Fred O’Hare, who brings his new rabbit friend home. But just as the two think they can’t handle any more, they’re both faced to grow up, doing what they can to save Easter from a evil Easter Chick named Carlos. Now, the Easter Bunny’s big day is finally here, with the Easter Holiday! And with the film still going strong in theaters, it’s likely we could see a nice …jump… in the box office before the weekend is out!

So check out the following teaser trailer featurette clips, then HOP over to theaters to see the story on the big screen: Hop!

Hop and E.B. make plans for Saving Easter

Hop and E.B. make plans for Saving Easter

Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment are getting ready for the Easter holiday a little earlier this year – in fact, about a month earlier! On April 1st, the two will team to unveil the latest live-action and CG hybrid film, Hop, telling the tale (or tail) of the Easter Bunny. Seems the rabbit we’ve all come to know is stepping down from the role, hoping (or hopping) that his son E.B. will fill the role. But E.B. would rather pursue his dream of becoming a drummer in Hollywood – that is, until the holiday his father made famous is threatened by Carlos, the evil Easter Chick! Check out the latest feature, Saving Easter, and let us know what you think!

The Easter Bunny is retiring. But, no worries, he has a replacement already selected: his son E.B.! But when E.B. hears of the forced labor, he rejects the notion, instead heading out to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer. Odd, right? It’s there that he meets up with Fred, who becomes E.B.’s caretaker for a time being. But when an evil Easter Chick named Carlos reveals his plot to take over the holiday E.B. once rejected, E.B. and Fred set out to save Easter once and for all! What happens next? You’ll just have to head to theaters on April 1st to get a look at Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s new hybrid film, Hop, to find out!
