The X-Men Meets the Avengers in Marvel Disk Wars Anime Series

The current mess that is the movie rights to Marvel’s comic book properties (majority of which is currently split between 20th Fox, Sony, and Marvel with a few overlaps on some characters) means that a big-screen crossover between earth’s mightiest heroes and the children of the atom “ain’t gonna happen soon.” However, the picture changes when it comes to anime, as Toei’s Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers anime series will soon pit the X-Men against the Avengers via the X-Men Edition storyline.

Sonic Lost World Zelda Crossover Preview

There was a time when a Sonic and The Legend of Zelda crossover would have been impossible, but now that Nintendo and Sega are chums and Sonic and Mario have appeared in a single game several times, Sonic Lost World including a Legend of Zelda stage doesn’t seem surprising anymore. That doesn’t mean seeing Sonic speeding around a world while wearing Link’s clothes is any less awesome. If you need proof of this, you can check out IGN’s preview below:

Fan Artist Creates “Hunter x Hunter” Look-alikes Based on “Dragon Ball Z”

Even though Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball anime series has been off the air since 1997 (that’s also including Dragon Ball GT), it continues to influence modern day manga artists, including fans alike — and we have proof. Earlier today, fan artist by the name of “Takumi” uploaded a “fusion image” of Dragon Ball and Hunter x Hunter.

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel Debuts Tonight on Disney Channel

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel debuts tonight at 8 PM ET on Disney Channel

Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel is a special 1-hour episode which airs tonight (Friday, August 16), at 8 PM ET on Disney Channel. This is the first crossover between the Phineas and Ferb characters and the Marvel Superheroes. If you want to know why Captain America is missing, and Spiderman is on the team, it all has to do with Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh playing favorites. They like Spiderman. Captain America… not so much. I think we all agree Spidey has more opportunity for hilarious one-liners than Cap.

According to Dan Povenmire, the challenge for this crossover, or any crossover for that matter, is pleasing fans of both camps. He has talked about it in interviews leading up to tonight’s debut on Disney Channel. Doing something Marvel fans may think is cheesy or violates the characters would make fans upset. It had to work for both sides. We had a chance to see the episode on the Disney Channel iPad app, and we think it works perfectly.

Matt Groening and Al Jean revealed at the recent comic-con that the cast of Futurama will also be dropping by Springfield in 2014.
