High Moon Studios Develops Deadpool Video Game

High Moon Studios seems to be one of the few game devs these days that really know how to translate established licences into enjoyable videogames, as evidenced by its successful adaptation of the Transformers license into the videogame format (via Transformers: War for Cybertron and its upcoming sequel, Fall of Cybertron).

It’s therefore understandable that fans would be excited when High Moon teased an upcoming Marvel game, which has now been confirmed to be a videogame adaptation of the Deadpool franchise. A teaser has been released through the SDCC:

High Moon Studios is one of the few game devs that actually have enough sense to make a good game out of license, even though it’s usually easier for developers to just create a half-arsed game and enjoy as the cash starts to roll in. Their Transformers: War for Cybertron is arguably the only enjoyable video game based on the Transformers license that has come out for any system, and while we’re still waiting for the follow up, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, High Moon may give us another videogame that will do a licensed property justice. The Transformers have had a nice little run to them. A billion dollar film franchise, a new Transformers Prime series on The Hub, and one of the coolest toy and action figure collections ever, because every figure is at least two toys in one! Now, High Moon Studios is working on a sequel to Transformers: War for Cybertron called Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, which is good news in and of itself. But better news still? This game has Dinobots.
