Alpha goes Omega on Cannonbolt, XLR8, and crossovers

Ben, meet Rex. Rex, meet Ben. For the past few months, we’ve been really digging into what would happen if these two ever met – and for the past few weeks, we’ve started to see images and video of what will happen when they do. From what we can tell, we know there’s going to be a misunderstanding. We know that they’re going to battle it out, to see which one of them would win in a fight. What we haven’t really understood yet is, what they’re going to do once the fighting between the two Man of Action, Cartoon Network super stars is complete. In other words, who is the villain (or villains) that they’ll be faced up against? Who, really, is powerful enough to battle not just Ben 10, but Generator Rex and the Agents of Providence? How about this creepy guy, named Alpha!

Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens brings CG Ben 10 to Cartoon Network

Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens brings CG Ben 10 to Cartoon Network

During the heydays of this year’s Comic-Con 2011, we scoured a lot of great info about the upcoming world of animation. Amongst the biggest revelations was Cartoon Network’s latest Ben 10 adventure; Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens, an entirely CG rendered made for TV movie. Still somewhat early in development, the CN promises this computer animated cartoon will be ready for our TV-watching enjoyment next year. Perhaps most surprising, and maybe even a little exciting, is the decision to go before Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Ben 10: Alien Force, and create a “prequel” of sorts during the original Ben 10 era; Ben, Gwen, and Grandpa Max solving cases with the original Omnitrix, just like the old days — and complete with all the original voice cast! Check out these teaser screen shots of the project in motion.

Cartoon Network gets hyped for the Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction video game

Ben has a pretty cool gig. I mean, he’s had, what, three shows so far? Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. He’s had specials, movies, live-action segments, great LEGO toys, and all kinds of products. But one of the only ways to truly get a sense of just how cool it is to live Ben Tennyson’s life is to get your hands on a Ben 10 video game. Papaya Studio, Cartoon Network, D3 Publisher, and the rest of the folks behind the latest gaming adventure, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction, had that specific goal in mind – and it appears the goal was achieved! The game, due out in just a month, on October 5th, features 17 playable characters, including normal aliens, ultimate aliens, and Ben, himself — Fourarms and Rath will appear in special editions. Be sure to check out the trailer right here in this post, then pick the game up for whatever platform you have: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo Wii.
