Nickelodeon Launches New Rob Dyrdek’s Wild Grinders App: Downhill Grind

Nickelodeon has just launched a new action-packed mobile game based on Rob Dyrdek’s Wild Grinders animated series. Titled ‘Wild Grinders Downhill Grind,’ the mobile game is already available on iOS, Google Play, and Amazon-capable devices. The game is an endless downhill skate game that allows fans of the show to team up with the Wild Grinders crew and put their skateboarding skills to the test.

Wild Grinders Downhill Grind is made specifically for mobile devices and takes advantage of the touchscreen to provide intuitive swipe controls in order to grind and perform insane tricks throughout the levels. The game also introduces various power ups designed to give players a boost while going for the high score or unlocking new content such as levels, skateboards, characters, and more.

Sonic Runners Released for Smartphones in Japan and Canada

Out of all the existing console-based gaming icons, it seemed like Sonic the Hedgehog was the one that’s meant for an endless runner spin-off. In fact, you can even say that Sonic Heroes and Sonic Rivals were both precursors to the genre. Now, the blue blur finally makes his way to the genre via Sonic Runners, which has been released as a free to play game for iOS and Android devices in Japan and Canada.

As for quality, Sonic Runners is developed by Sonic Team themselves, so this is as good as it’s going to get when it comes to Sonic Team’s standards, and definitely not a rushed cashgrab (although there’s nothing wrong with games being made for profit, if they’re good.) In Sonic Runners, you are given control of Sonic at first but will also be able to unlock Tails and Knuckles. Like any endless runner game, you control the direction and make your character jump and roll by tapping. There’s also some light upgrade mechanics that are done via the little Chao dudes.
