Rated A for Awesome hits Disney XD

Rated A for Awesome hits Disney XD

They’ve already been Incredible, but this summer, Disney is getting Awesome! In June, Disney XD welcomes Rated A for Awesome, the latest CG animated hit to it’s network. And we’re not just getting it here int he States; 128 countries (including those in the Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia, and more!) are already signed up. From the producers of Kid vs Kat, Jimmy Two Shoes, and Jungle Junction, and working with the creators of Nerd Corps Entertainment and YTV, Rated A for Awesome stars Les Awesome and his stepsister Thera. Along with Noam, Lars, and Mr Twitchy, a monkey cameraman (cameramonkey?), the group works together to convert boring into fun, lame into sweet, and blah into awesome. Now that’s a revolution we can get behind!

Jimmy Two Shoes “She Loves Me” and “Heinous vs Clown” on Disney XD February 5th

Jimmy Two Shoes "She Loves Me" and "Heinous vs Clown" on Disney XD February 5th

Jimmy makes it his mission to find fun deep in the heart of Miseryville. Despite the best efforts of Lucius Heinous the Seventh and Misery Inc., Jimmy is typically pretty successful. It’s exactly that type of positive attitude that has made the Jimmy Two Shoes toon one of Disney XD’s most popular shows. Jimmy’s adventures actually air a few weeks earlier on Teletoon in Canada, where the show was created. Thus, American fans are able to get some upcoming tidbits on episodes we haven’t seen yet. For example, “She Loves Me” and “Heinous vs Clown” will air this Saturday, February 5th in the States, nearly two months after premiering on Teletoon. That’s two months of jealousy brewing before we can finally see it for ourselves!!!

The channel averaged over 1.7 million viewers during the span of the entire day, and even beat other other major networks in specific demographics. Disney XD didn’t do too bad itself, pulling in it’s biggest ratings ever – even including the era the channel was known as Toon Disney. Nearly 300,000 folks watched the channel every day, up about 15% from 2009. Are you part of the new ratings boost? Have you been watching Phineas and Ferb, Kick Buttowski, Iron Man, Naruto, Kid vs. Kat, Jimmy Two Shoes, Spectacular Spider-Man, Robodz, Fish Hooks and the other great Disney shows?

Breakthrough Animation preps Crash Canyon for Teletoon, Cartoon Network

Breakthrough Animation preps Crash Canyon for Teletoon, Cartoon Network

The Wendell family doesn’t usually do too much together; the parents work, the kids go out, etc. But this year, Norm (aka Dad) has planned a family vacation. He rents a van and a camper trailer, forces everyone inside, and the family sets off on a week of heavily-scheduled fun (this ever happen to you?). It’s not so bad looking at the various tourist attractions. And they could deal with the scenic vistas. But when Norm accidentally drives the van over a cliff, things get a bit more interesting. Two miles deep into this canyon, the Wendells emerge in a community of other family’s who ran into the same fate. Breakthrough Animation hopes this “LOST meets Survivor meets Malcom in the Middle” storyline brings in new fans to Teletoon when the animated series debuts sometime next year, with a goal of eventually reaching Cartoon Network in 2012. Check out the full write up, and let us know if this sounds like something you’d watch
