Johnny Test Fights Germs This Week

Johnny Test Fights Germs This Week

This week, everyone’s favorite 11-year-old boy will go toe to toe with every child’s most nefarious foe – GERMS. Airing on Wednesday at 7:30 PM ET/PT, the episode “Johnny Germ Fighter” will have Johnny Test play the role of a germ fighter, as his dad gets fed up with the bathroom being a filthy mess, thereby issuing an ultimatum: Johnny will not be allowed to go outside until the house is germ-free.

Johnny Alternative introduces Joni and Dutchy

Johnny Alternative introduces Joni and Dutchy

One thing Cartoon Network likes, its alternate realities. Ben 10 visits them all the time, with one specific coming up in a few days, Heroes United. They were frequent across the Justice League Unlimited run. Recently, Finn and Jake hit an alternate version of themselves in the episode with Fionna and Cake. Is it any wonder that the network’s resident scientific guinea pig, aka Johnny Test, would discover one, too? And, much like the Adventure Time alternate reality, Johnny and Dukey boy discover a female version of themselves, better known as Joni and Dutchy girl. However, unlike the Adventure Time episode, Johnny and Duke get to meet this alternate pair – and maybe even fall in love.

My Dinner with Johnny Test at 7pm on Cartoon Network

My Dinner with Johnny Test at 7pm on Cartoon Network

Spilling drinks, elbows on the table, arriving late, leaving early, and, of course, burping. These are the aspects of every dinner that most would like to avoid. Most, that is, except for folks like Johnny Test. See, Johnny’s repulsive eating habits and genuinely rude behavior is not only a common occurrence at the dinner table, it’s something he enjoys! But one night, dad has had enough, and he strikes a bet with his son that Johnny can’t go one full meal without complaining about his food for making weird noises. Can Johnny hang on? Or is this truly a Test he can’t pass? TOON into Cartoon Network on November 14th at 7pm for Johnny Test: My Dinner with Johnny to find out.

Cartoon Network scares up Johnny Test: Nightmare on Johnny's Street

However, in tonight’s Halloween ready episode, it’s Susan and Mary that have their dreams come true. Johnny, on the other hand, must deal with his nightmares. The Amazing World of Gumball and Johnny Test boost Cartoon Network

The Amazing World of Gumball and Johnny Test boost Cartoon Network

It’s pretty obvious to us that Cartoon Network has an awesome lineup. The channel is able to happily merge toons, old and new, while pulling in big numbers in the ratings. Just this past week, that theory was put to the test, as the CN aired Johnny Test at 7pm, followed by The Amazing World of Gumball at 7:30. The mixture of old and new, classic and modern, veteran and rookie, pro and n00b. However you want to define it, it was toon and toon, and each was a success! Johnny Test was the top series in it’s time amongst most demographics, and Gumball followed suit with similar results. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see if they create the Amazing World of Johnny — or even the more delicious sounding Gumball Test!

Johnny Test returns to Cartoon Network June 13

Johnny Test returns to Cartoon Network June 13

His sisters are 13; twin geniuses, both. He is younger, and thus always the guinea pig to their tests. Often willingly. The result? An awesome cartoon. The twin sisters Susan and Mary, and the boy, like the series, is named Johnny Test. Premiering back in 2005 on the Kids WB, Johnny Test will be entering his fifth season in a few weeks on Cartoon Network, June 13th. Sure, the math doesn’t necessarily add up, but when you’re getting good animation, it’s not really that important! A joint venture between Teletoon Productions and Cookie Jar Entertainment, Johnny Test will join Cartoon Network’s Monday night animated comedy lineup, which includes The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, MAD, and Regular Show. Great company; great toons. Johnny will fit right in!

Inspector Gadget, Johnny Test, and Metajets to Netflix

Inspector Gadget, Johnny Test, and Metajets to Netflix

Netflix is proving, over and over, that the age of digital media is here. In addition to their awesome rent-a-DVD platform, the company has scooped up hundreds of producers, allowing the shows and movies to be instantly streamed to internet-ready devices. Cookie Jar Entertainment is the latest to join the ranks of this digital army, adding dozens of new animated series to the “InstaFlix” path. The toons include: Busytown Mysteries, Johnny Test, Metajets, Strawberry Shortcake, Bunch of Munsch, Caillou, Country Mouse City Mouse, Heathcliff, Horseland, Inspector Gadget, Paddington Bear, Wimzie’s House, Zoboomafoo, and more!

Cookie Jar Entertainment starts Johnny Test season 5 on Teletoon and Cartoon Network

Cookie Jar Entertainment starts Johnny Test season 5 on Teletoon and Cartoon Network

Johnny Test will be kicking off his fifth season later this week on Teletoon, and shortly there after on Cartoon Network. 5 seasons! When the year is all said and done, Johnny Test, Scott Fellows’ creation, will be zoning in at nearly 100 episodes, putting the toon in rarefied company. And, really, it’s easy to see them following the simplified formula: get a boy with two super genius scientist twin sisters, oh and a genetically engineered talking dog, and boom, you’ve got yourself a winner! They don’t even have to be named Johnny, Susan, Mary, and Dukey. Well, OK, maybe they should. They don’t have to be. Regardless, the Cookie Jar Entertainment series might feature stories where Johnny is the guinea pig, but the viewers clearly don’t mind “test”ing new episodes!

Inspector Gadget and Johnny Test to Viper Comics

Inspector Gadget and Johnny Test to Viper Comics

Typically, as seen with specials like Wolverine and the X-Men, it’s the other way around – comics becoming cartoons. But now, two generations worth of toons are now headed into the media of comic books; Inspector Gadget and Johnny Test are making the full transition from animation to the printed page, as Viper Comics signs the two properties to comic book deals. Inspector Gadget, DIC Entertainment’s (now Cookie Jar Entertainment’s) classic 80s toon, features a cyborg detective, whose human body stores multiple bionic gadgets — somewhat like an early Generator Rex! Johnny Test, on the other (non-bionic) hand, follows the adventures of Johnny and his brilliant twin sisters Susan and Mary. Fans can expect a graphic novel collection of each to hit store shelves in early 2011, along side a field dominated by Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, and other Marvel and DC super heroes.
