Cowboy Bebop and Dragon Ball Z Kai Coming to Toonami

For an anime that many people dismiss as shallow and filler-heavy, Dragon Ball Z is still in demand and continues to put butts in seats, whether it’s a new video game or a new movie, or even a re-airing of an old special. The most recent one was the movie Cooler’s Revenge, which recently aired on Cartoon Network’s Toonami programming block. During that airing, FUNimation has also announced that the polished and streamlined version of the series – Dragon Ball Z Kai – will be added to Toonami starting this fall.

What’s more, another iconic anime series (and one that is more universally lauded), Cowboy Bebop, will also be returning to the programming block. However, the schedule for Spike and the gang’s return has not been announced yet. You can check out the tweets below for the official announcements:

Redakai: Conquer the Kairu Gets New Broadcasters

The hit action adventure TCG-based cartoon from Zodiak Kids, Redakai: Conquer the Kairu, has just snagged three new European broadcasters, namely Germany’s Kabel 1, Vt4 in Flemish speaking Belgium, and Club RTL Belgium in the French-speaking parts of Belgium. The three new broadcasters will be bringing Redakai to a total of 70 markets all over the globe.

Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi blasts off on PS3, and Xbox 360

Goku and friends blast off once again on the HD consoles as Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi is now available. This latest game in the ever lasting Dragon Ball series features 30 minutes of brand new animation, a create a character mode, an extensive story mode covering the first conflict with Raditz to the final battle with Boo, cinematic battles, over 40 characters, giant boss battles and more. Publisher Namco Bandai is expecting big things from this latest Dragon Ball Z release.

If you’re looking for some big time voice support, you’re not just limited to Disney’s Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, Sony, and a few select others. Triggerfish Animation Studios, based in South Africa, is hard at work on their upcoming CG animated film Zambezia, and they’ve got a whole stockpile of celebrities and stars to voice the characters. Joining the list for the 3D film are Abigail Breslin, Jeff Goldblum, Leonard Nimoy, Samuel L. Jackson, Richard E. Grant, Jim Cummings, Jennifer Lewis, and Jeremy Suarez. Set in the beautiful bird sanctuary of Zambezia, a young Peregrine Falcon named Kai wishes to join the Hurricane Defense Flyers, despite his father’s wishes. The issue escalates when Kai heads out anyway, and his father chases after him — only for the elder falcon to be captured by the evil Iguana.
