Boruto: Naruto the Movie’s Release Date Confirmed

The release date for the Naruto spin-off film, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, has been confirmed recently, with the film scheduled for release in Japan on August 7. The film will be distributed by Toho, and will feature creative input from series creator himself, Masashi Kishimoto. Kishimoto is also serving as executive producer. He also revealed the official tagline for the film as “That’s tacky, Hokage/crappy old man.”

Official message from Kishimoto:

Naruto Manga to End After 5 Chapters

The writing was on the wall and people actually expected the fight against Kaguya to be the end of Masashi Kishimoto’s long-running ninja-themed manga, but the manga pulled an ace out of its sleeve with another fight (that’s been a long time coming. We’re not going to spoil it for people who have yet to catch up.) so it is still a bit jarring to find out that the Naruto manga will be ending its serialization on Weekly Shonen Jump’s 50th issue, which is scheduled for November 10.

The Last Naruto Movie Scheduled for December 6, 2014

With the manga already on its supposed final story arc, it seems rather apt for the title of the next Naruto anime film to be “The Last,” which has been slated for a December 6 release, according to the 35th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The Last –Naruto the Movie- will be part of the larger Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project, which marks the 15th anniversary of the original manga.

Naruto-Chapter-659-Recap

This week’s chapter of Masashi Kishimoto’s popular shonen manga Naruto isn’t that heavy on the action. But it did provide more details as to the current situation. First, Madara can only regain his right eye for now, because his left eye is still with Obito, which can’t be reclaimed by the Black Zetsu because Minato and Kakashi will kill him as soon as Obito dies.
