Tricon Films & Television and Mercury FilmWorks have recently joined forces in order to develop a new animated children’s bridge series titled Go Away Unicorn! (52 x 11), which is based on the popular children’s book written by author and illustrator Emily Mullock. Go Away Unicorn will be a Mercury Filmworks and Tricon Films & Television co-production with Tricon also serving as the international distributor.

Mercury, Technicolor Signs Development deal with Teletoon Canada for Atomic Puppet

Canadian studio Mercury Filmworks and Paris-based Technicolor have just announced a newly inked development deal with TELETOON Canada for a new animated comedy series titled “Atomic Puppet.” The two studios and the network will be working together in order to co-develop the 2D animated series, which is aimed towards kids aged 6 to 11.

Atomic Puppet, which was created by Mark Drop (Matt Hatter Chronicles, Jake and the Never Land Pirates) and Jerry Leibowitz (The Mouse and the Monster) focuses on Model City’s greatest superhero, who is transformed into a powerless puppet by his disgruntled sidekick – with his super powers accidentally transferred to his biggest fan, the 12 year old Joey Felt. Together, they form an awkward and comedic partnership that may prove to be Model City’s only line of defense against the forces of evil.

Technicolor and Mercury Introduces Atomic Puppet

Technicolor has recently announced an agreement with Canadian studio Mercury Filmworks in order to co-produce and co-develop a new kids’ animated TV series titled Atomic Puppet. The company is planning to present the new series to international buyers during the MIPCOM market in Cannes this year via the Buyers Club Level 01 in the Palais des Festivals.
