Will Cartoon Network’s Thundercats go Snarfless

Will Cartoon Network's Thundercats go Snarfless

When Cartoon Network first became a mainstream powerhouse a few years back, it was famous for airing toons a decade or two off the air. This included many classics, and cult classics, from the 80s and 90s, like Voltron, G.I. Joe, Transformers and more. One such toon, apparently, had such a major impact on creators and producers that they’re deep into development of reviving the franchise. In other words, get ready for more Thundercats. Feel the magic, feel the roar, Thundercats are loose; that is, the mutant cat super team of Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, WilyKit and WilyKat. While the team had some “guest visitors” like Jaga, and eventually expanded to include Lynx-O and a few others, there was also one prominent member of the team, Snarf, who added much of the comical silliness. As the new Studio4C toon plans a “darker, more mature” feel, what would happen to Lion-O’s little friend?

Warner Premiere’s Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam to DVD

Warner Premiere's Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam to DVD

On November 9th, 2010, Warner Home Video will distribute the DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection, a package that includes four animated adventures from the likes of Green Arrow, The Spectre, and Jonah Hex. Serving as the star feature in the collection is the fourth title: Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam. Clark Kent’s latest interview subject is Billy Batson, a feisty kid with a lot of heart – and also one selected by an ancient wizard as the World’s Mightiest Mortal. By invoking the name of the wizard, “Shazam!” Billy’s powers erupt like lightning, turning him into the Superman-like Captain Marvel. Unfortunately, Black Adam is also in that league, out to destroy Marvel, Superman, and anyone else that gets in his way. Check out the voice cast and full press release
