Universal Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing Despicable Me 2 on Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray 3D, DVD, and Digital HD (including UltraViolet) this coming December 10th, and it promises to be a home video release worthy of this year’s worldwide box office phenomenon and number 1 comedy film (the film has grossed over $863 million all over the globe), featuring a ton of bonus content such as deleted scenes, an in-depth look at the evil minions, and 3 all-new mini-movies featuring everybody’s favorite cute, cuddly, and banana-loving Minions.

…and to get you proper excited for the December release, Universal has released a 1 and a half clip titled “Despicable Me 2 Mini-Movie Sneak Peek,” which is exactly as the title suggests: a brief teaser for the upcoming mini-movie included in the Despicable Me 2 home video release. Of course, it features the ever-lovin’ yellow Minions doing what they do best: making you laugh out loud at their hilarious ineptness and naiveté. You can watch the clip below:

New HOP Mini Movie

The hit CG animated movie HOP is coming to Blu Ray and DVD this week, and as a way of reminding you of the humor and hijinks of the rebellious young rabit E.B. McBain movie in The Simpsons revealed

McBain movie in The Simpsons revealed

For over 20 years, the Simpsons have dominated TVs across the world, bringing animation to heights never thought possible. The toon is famous for spreading beyond the main stars of the family to the various townsfolk and special guests, e.g.; the drunks at Moe’s Tavern, Mr. Burns, DuffMan, Ralph Wiggum, and more. One such star, Rainier Wolfcastle, has famously starred in action films throughout the series, in an Arnold Schwarzenegger-like fashion — even starring as the cartoon’s own superhero, Radioactive Man! Most of his appearances, however, are seen in brief snippets or trailers as characters watch films or TV shows as the action hero McBain. Previously, we just loved them because they were funny little moments. …but then some super Simpsons fan strung the clips together only to realize they compile into a McBain mini-movie, complete with it’s own story. …absolutely amazing, both on the part of the show, McBain, and the folks that found the secret. Check it out!

Despicable Me’s Minions and the Despicable Banana

Despicable Me's Minions and the Despicable Banana

Of all the animated films to hit theaters in the past few years, there are a rare few where the audience is as intrigued by the main characters as they are with the secondary characters. Lion King’s Timon and Pumba are good examples, as are the teams of penguins and monkeys from the Madagascar franchise. Each of those films had so much success with the secondary group that those sub-stars went on to receive their own movies and animated series on TV. Such, it seems could be the fate with Despicable Me – a story that focused on Gru’s maturity from super villain to adoptive father, but never lost sight of those adorable (and evil) Minions. Maybe there’s a toon in there someday, but in the meantime, there’s already a few solo adventures, including the “Banana” mini movie on the Despicable Me Blu-ray and DVD – not to mention “Home Makeover” and “Orientation Day”. Take a look!
