New J-Stars Victory VS. Clip Focuses on Bleach’s Ichigo Kurasaki

We’re only a few days away from the release of Namco Bandai’s interfranchise 3D fighter, J-Stars Victory VS., but they’re not done with the character previews yet. This time around, they have released a new video focusing on Bleach’s main protagonist, the part-shinigami, part-quincy, part-hollow, and part-fullbringer Ichigo Kurosaki:

New J-Stars Victory Vs. Trailer Features Gon Freecs

Namco Bandai’s upcoming cross-franchise 3D fighter, J-Stars Victory Vs., has just released a brand new trailer. This time around, it focuses on Hunter x Hunter’s primary protagonist, the son of the famous hunter Ging Freecs, Gon.

Gon is a highly skilled, altruistic, and all-around friendly young boy who is constantly searching for adventure. In search of his legendary father, Gon meets potential allies along the way and trains enough to be considered a formidable hunter even by people who have been around way longer than he is. His most prominent weakness is the fact that he’s not very good at math.

New Teaser Promo for Gundam Side Story: Missing Link

A few days ago, a bunch of screenshots for the upcoming PS3 game Gundam Side Story: Missing Link have been released all over the net (we collected a bunch and posted them on Toonbarn.) In case static images are not enough to get you excited for the game, Namco Bandai has followed up with a little teaser video.

Clocking in at three minutes, the teaser is a little bit on the lengthy side (most teasers these days only clock in at less than a minute), so it provides a lot more meat than your average teaser trailer, introducing the Federation and Zeon forces and also showing a little bit of third person action. You can watch the teaser below:

New Trailer for Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost

Last November, a really lengthy trailer was released for Mobile Sit Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost, and while that is already considered as overly long when it comes to game trailers, another “full” promo has just been released, this time dwarfing even the 7-minute November trailer.

Clocking in at a hefty 19+ minutes, the new trailer features a hefty dose of gameplay footage, cutscenes, and introductions to the playable roster of characters (and mobile suits/armors). If you have 20 minutes to spare, you can watch the video below:

Dragonball Z: Battle of Z to Get Super Vegeta and Super Saiyan Bardock DLCs

Bardock-Super-Saiyan

We’re only a few days away from the release of the latest 3D fighter based on Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga/anime franchise, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. And while we’ve already marked the game as a day 1 purchase, NAMCO BANDAI has decided to tease us further by planning a couple of DLC characters: Super Vegeta and Super Saiyan Bardock.

Everybody who’s a fan of the series and has watched all the way to the end of the Cell Saga already knows Super Vegeta – it’s Vegeta’s transformation after the first stage of Super Saiyan. It’s basically his less refined version of Super Saiyan 2 (it gives him a large boost but slows him down and makes his body bulkier, though not on the same disastrous level as Trunks’ Ultimate Super Saiyan form.)

Super Saiyan Bardock, on the other hand, is a fairly new addition to the franchise. Bardock himself has been introduced before in one of the old movie specials as Goku’s biological father. The movie set Bardock’s fate as having been killed by Freeza during the end of Planet Vegeta. But it was only recently – during a special manga – that his real fate was revealed: he was sent back in time and managed to learn to transform into a Super Saiyan while fighting Freeza’s ancestor, Chilled, thereby fueling the stories of a Super Saiyan along with Freeza’s fear of the golden haired warrior.

New Introduction Trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z

dbz_battle_royale

We’re only days away from the release of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, and while Namco Bandai has already pumped out a steady stream of trailers and teaser videos, this latest one is a little bit more organized as it serves as a compact overview of all the things you can expect from the 3D fighter. The clip also has a healthy dosage of clips featuring battles against giant foes, multiplayer co-op, and caps it all off with a very excited narrator (unfortunately, the trailer is in Japanese).
