Community Spoofs G.I. Joe

NBC’s hit comedy sitcom will once again use the medium of animation in order to spoof another franchise, this time around it’s the classic 1980s animated action series G.I. Joe. The episode is scheduled to air on April 3 at 8 PM, but was already presented during a PaleyFet panel dedicated to the show last Wednesday, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

NBC Casts John Constantine for Upcoming Pilot

NBC has recently found an actor to play the part of the sometime-con-man/sometime-mage John Constantine, for their upcoming TV adaptation of the long-running comic book series HellBlazer. According to Deadline.com, the studio has chosen Welsh actor Matt Ryan, whose past credits include Assassin’s Creed IV and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior).

New Animated Trailer for NBC’s Community

The creative team behind NBC’s hit comedy series Community have just released a tw-minute animated trailer just in time for the holidays, titled ‘Miracle on Jeff’s Street, which also serves as a teaser for the upcoming return of the show on January 2.

This is not the first time that Community has dabbled with animation, as past episodes have already adopted various animation styles (including pixel art and stop motion) as a way of keeping things fresh. In Miracle on Jeff’s Street, Winger is having a drink alone at home, when Dean and Chang break through his apartment window, dressed as Santa Claus and a reindeer. From there, it devolves into Community’s brand of controlled chaos and hilarity. You can check out the trailer below:
