New Trailer for Adventure Time Videogame

A new trailer has just been released for Wayforward’s upcoming Adventure Time game for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, titled “Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?” The trailer shows Hey Ice King’s Zelda-like 2D overhead sections as well as the 2D sidescrolling sections. There’s also a glimpse of a boss fight, and the various moves Finn and Jake are capable of.

D3Publisher Announces Adventure Time DS Game

D3Publisher has finally revealed the details to the Adventure Time DS game that series creator Pendleton Ward teased a number of weeks ago. Developed in collaboration with Cartoon Network Enterprises, the game is entitled Adventure time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! And will be available for both the Nintendo DS and 3DS handhelds late fall.

As 2012 opens we look back at the year 2011 to see what was the best and most inspiring thing that came into the year. What was it you say? Why it’s the 25th anniversary of “The Legend of Zelda” of course!

In 2011 Nintendo celebrated the 25th anniversary of The legend of Zelda in 2011’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (Otherwise known as E3 expo) and opened their conference with an Orchestra performance.Not only did Nintendo celebrate,  the fans also joined in the celebration by remembering all of the past games they have been playing for over the years. Either being  old fans from the NES days or new fans who are only starting to get hooked on Link’s current gen adventures. The young hero Link has been battling Ganondorf  and winning our hearts all throughout these 25 years, as he went on tirelessly saving princess Zelda and slaying wicked monsters.

Lets take a  quick look into the past and see how Link started his Adventure (a gaming history lesson you all need to learn if you want to be in the gaming industry. Click the words that are in blue and underline for a quick look up if you don’t know what they mean, kids. Like cartridge, Famicom, Gameboy, etc.)

Square Enix readies Superspeed Transforming Gyrozetter to take form next year

Japanese video game giant Square Enix has announced Speed Transformer Gyrozetter, a new multi-media project spanning arcade & video games, manga series, a television anime, toys, a TCG, and more! The franchise is set to launch this month with the debut of Gyrozetter in Saikyo JUMP, Shueshia’s kid-oriented Shonen JUMP manga anthology in Japan. The franchise will then continue onwards in 2012 with an arcade game, a television anime series produced by A-1 Pictures launching next summer, and lastly, a Nintendo 3DS game.

Asylum Entertainment has worked with Koch Media and the good folks at Nintendo 3DS to release Horrid Henry’s new video game, The good, The Bad, and the Bugly. Based on the popular animated series, which is currently airing its third season on ITV1 and CITV, the side-scrolling, adventure game features both puzzle and platforming elements in the world created by Francesca Simon and Tony Ross. Like Mario rescuing Peach and Link saving Zelda, what beauty must Henry race to rescue? Bunny, Perfect Peter’s toy rabbit, of course. Take a look at the game in action!

It seems that Professor Layton is not content with his massive success on the Nintendo DS, as the level-5 puzzle game series will soon hit the small screens with a direct-to-DVD anime movie spin-off entitled Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. In case you’re not familiar with the Nintendo DS game, the Professor Layton series stars Professor Layton, a true English gentleman who is not only an accomplished archaeologist, but also one of the world’s greatest detectives. In “The Eternal Diva”, we find the super sleuth being interrupted from one of his exciting adventures by a letter from a former student, Janice Quatlane, who is now a famous opera singer.

Gundam, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman take flight in Lost Heroes on Nintendo 3DS

Namco Bandai’s Banpresto label announced an interesting crossover during Nintendo’s press conference, called Nintendo Direct. This new title combines Japanese super hero franchises, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman with anime powerhouse Mobile Suit Gundam in Lost Heroes. The new 3DS title is a dungeon crawling role playing game set to hit Japanese shelves next year. Check out the debut trailer after the jump.
