Until now, we haven’t gotten so much as a hint of a Pokemon 3DS. That is, until just this week, when Nintendo finally announced Nintendo 3DS Pokemon …Rumble! Wait, what? That’s right, the first real batch of Pokemon to hit the Nintendo 3DS isn’t a true Pokemon game at all, but rather a full sequel to the WiiWare title, Super Pokemon Rumble (aka Super Pokemon Scramble). The basic premise: you’re in a world filled with Pokemon toys. There’s no turn-based battles to speak of, but there is fighting, and there is collecting, as you send off your various Pocket Monsters in real-time action against foes like Zekrom.

The trio return in an adventure on the high seas, also marking the return of the Chipettes. Formerly known as Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D, the new adventure stars the little rodents and their rocking misadventures, as long as David Seville (Jason Lee, once again) allows them to get away with it. The story follows the gang aboard the Carnival Dream’s recreation area, and a number of tropical stops, including one desert island that they all get stuck on. Maybe the ‘Munks can jam there…? Check out the teaser trailer to see a sneak peek of the film in progress!

Raving Rabbids animated series gets CG animation from Ubisoft

Raving Rabbids animated series gets CG animation from Ubisoft

Years ago, Ubisoft created the Rayman franchise, destined to become one of video games most popular icons. As the years went by, and more titles were released, the Rayman universe branched out; introducing, then staring, a crazed mutant bunny army of enemies: the Rabbids. Raving Rabbids, to be specific. These screaming aliens were pushed to the forefront in this most recent generation of consoles, most notably the Nintendo Wii, where the games were filled with hilarious CG animated cut scenes. Early on, we suspected this could land the Rabbids their own cartoon. Thankfully, Ubisoft has heard our calls, delivering just that! 78 seven minute episodes (for 26 half hour toons) have been created, featuring the CG Rabbids in glorious 3D rendering. No official word yet on what channel will be their new home, but we can guarantee you’ll hear them screaming soon enough!
