We told you the ToonOlympics competition on ToonBarn would have a match where you just can’t decide which cartoon is better. Well, here it is! Yamato 2199 takes on Phineas and Ferb. Both are excellent in many ways. Both have very good animation, excellent musical scores, and terrific voice-over work. What will be the deciding factor that puts one in front of the other? We haven’t heard anyone declare who will win yet. Let’s hear your predictions! And tell us why you think it will be the overall winner. Please comment below. The ToonOlympics competition continues today with our 7th match of the second round. The matchup is between Japan and USA. The cartoon from Japan is called Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Space Battleship Yamato 2199 had a first round bye and is going up against an American cartoon series called Phineas and ferb, which defeated Spain’s Lucky Fred in the first round.

Disney is releasing a new Phineas and Ferb DVD on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. It’s called “The Perry Files”. One of these episodes contains the 100th battle between Perry the Platypus (Agent P) and Dr. Doofensmirtz. The OWCA decreed it to be the 100th. See if you can guess which episode on the DVD has this magical milestone. We’ll give the answer away in the episode guide later in the article. This is what you can expect to see if you buy the DVD:

Just last Sunday, roughly three-quarters of the nation, and a decent-sized chunk of the world, was enthralled with the Super Bowl battle between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. As the NFL season comes to a close, every football fan does what they can to soak in the day. A recent Variety.com article has revealed that Disney execs are pleased with the massive success of the Phineas and Ferb franchise, and has made plans to produce more spin-offs and merchandising opportunities in line with the show’s fourth season renewal, with estimates that the broad appeal and popularity of the show ensures that it will stay on the air all the way to 2014.

Mashable reports that Disney has added fresh content to their streaming media deals with Netflix and Amazon, including some of our favorite cartoon! Episodes of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil will begin streaming on Netflix through the new deal. More episodes of Phineas and Ferb will also be made available through the service. Also, Phineas and Ferb will make their Amazon debut soon, along with many Marvel titles, including Spider-Man, X-Men Evolution, Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers and Iron Man: Extremis. With all the new toonage on Amazon, it’s only a matter of time until Kick’s arrival. Let’s hope it’s soon!

With hits like the Avengers, Kick Buttowski, and Phineas and Ferb, Disney networks are doing A-OK in terms of keeping up with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and the like. Those are some grade A quality toons right there, and we’re proud to cover them! But one such cartoon seems to have really hit a high note in popularity over the past few months, and now we’re even more enthused with the Disney lineup; Fish Hooks is back to the Disney Channel on November 4th with an all new collection of shows. Phineas and Ferb, Lone Ranger film and Thor Sequel Gets a Release Date

Disney has finally given the big screen revamp of Phineas and Ferb an expected release date. The film, which is said to be an animated/live-action feature, is set for a July 26, 2013 release date. Developed by Tron: Legacy producer Sean Bailey, the Phineas and Ferb movie will consist of an animated beginning and ending, with the rest of the movie being portrayed entirely by real actors. The script is penned by the show’s original creators Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and Dan Povenmire.

Popular Disney Channel show “Phineas and Ferb” are getting a big screen revamp. The TV series is expected to take the leap and move onto the big screen after show Co-Creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh inked new deals to produce further TV episodes as well as a Movie. Under the terms of the new contract they will also develop a New Pilot for Disney, which is likely to be a spin-off of the comedy. The new deal follows hot on the heals of the TV movie ” Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension” which drew in 7.6million viewers.
