SpongeBob Squarepants Marathon Today

If you’re in the mood for some Krabby Patties, then you should tune in to Nickelodeon today, as all of Spongebob Squarepants’ scrumptious quests for the perfect Krabby Patty is being revisited in the Thrills, Grills, and Spills themed marathon which started a little earlier at 8 AM ET/PT and will continue until 10:30 AM with a special brand new episode.

The new episode is titled “Evil Spatula,” and will find Spongebob once again being embroiled in another one of Plankton’s harebrained schemes (which are all designed to let him get his hands on the super-duper secret Krabby Patty formula). In Evil Spatula, SpongeBob’s spatula is broken and the only replacement he gets came from Plankton. The titular “evil” spatula may or may not have magical powers, depending on who you’ll believe.

Nickelodeon will be celebrating the holidays tonight via their first full-length stop-motion animated special, It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!, which will air at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The special will use animation techniques inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town) and will feature the voice of John Goodman as Santa Claus.

Each premieres at 5pm, but is replayed multiple times through out the day and week to make sure you get to enjoy Runaway Road Trip as much as possible. Well, what once was just a dream can now actually be a reality, with Nickelodeon and Wiley Hardcover’s new book project SpongeBob’s Kitchen Mission Cookbook. The book follows with SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Squidward, Plankton, Sandy, and of course Mr. Krabs as they go head-to-head in a competition to make the best meals. It’s an Iron Chef under the sea! The book features over 50 recipes, along with step by step instructions and illustrations, to make sure the food at home comes out as delicious as it looks in the toon.

Tonight, at 8pm, there’s a mystery to be solved. A mystery, that is, with a twistery. So who do you call for emergencies such as these? There’s only one man up for the job — er, one sponge, that is. SpongeBob SquarePants stars in Nickelodeon’s Mystery with a Twistery in tonight’s special. Mr. Krabs (voiced by Clancy Brown, who also plays Lex Luthor on Cartoon Network’s Justice League) has grown tired of dealing with his villainous rival Plankton, so he sends his secret recipe for Krabby Patty burgers to a far-away chest for safekeeping. Unfortunately, as soon as it’s out of his sight, Mr. Krabs forgets the recipe and sends SpongeBob and Patrick to retrieve it. Little do they know, Plankton follows them, bent on stealing the secret for his own. At 8pm, it’s game time.

SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom is a brand new video game for PS2, Wii, and Nintendo DS out this week.  The game features a new villain Globolous send his Morphoids to destroy the multiverse, only the Nicktoons, and even the bad guys can defeat him or else Globolous will take over the world and the multiverse will be destroyed forever! The safety of the multiverse lies in the Nicktoons hands!  The game features 10 playable characters: five heroes (SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Invader Zim and Tak) and five villains (Plankton, Professor Calamitous, Technus, Dib and Tlaloc). For the first time in NICKTOONS history, these heroes and villains must work together to defeat the evil Globulous Maximus and his Morphoid Minions who pose a destructive threat to the universe. Each playable character must travel to iconic locales, such as Bikini Bottom and Amity Park, and is assigned a unique gadget to activate devastating combo attacks. The world’s only hope of being saved lies in the hands of this extraordinary alliance between good and evil.
