Walt Disney Records: Legacy collection

Walt Disney Records announced on May 6th that they are releasing a line of collectible CD’s on the anniversaries of of Disney’s most loved films.

Through 2015, Walt Disney Records will celebrate 12 anniversaries including Pinocchio (75th), Fantasia (75th), Cinderella (65th), Lady and the Tramp (60th), Sleeping Beauty (55th), Mary Poppins (50th), The Lion King (20th), and Toy Story(20th), among others.”

Netflix has recently entered into a multiyear premium pay TV window license deal with The Walt Disney Studio for North America, which means Netflix is now the exclusive US subscription TV services for first-run live-action and animated movies from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios and Disneynature movie titles.

Superman has had a lot of exposure. Nearly 75 years of comic books, serials, cereals (both!), cartoons, toys, half a dozen films, etc. Every example has a different perspective on the character, from look to personality. Some are hit and some are miss, and those associated, from Smallville’s Tom Welling to Bryan Singer’s recent Superman Returns. But it’s the fans who make those reactions and turn projects into legends – so maybe its the fans who know the character best of all. That’s likely the motivation for Robb Pratt, a Superman fan who used his amazing traditional and digital art and animation talents to create a minute-long toon called Superman Classic.
