Becky&Joe Release 3rd Don’t Hug Me Short

No doubt timed for Halloween, UK Aniamtion duo Becky&Joe have recently released the third part of their quirky Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared short series. The series uses a hybrid of puppets and traditional 2D animation in order to deliver a message on the nature of love.

The first Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared video taught puppet characters about creativity through glitters, internal organs, and a talking notepad. The second part, “Time,” introduced a new character named Tony the Talking Clock, who teaches the puppets about the concept of time. Green With Envy starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel

Every once in a while, we here at ToonBarn like to step back from the world of animation in it’s many forms (traditional, CG, puppet, stop-motion) and concentrate on other forms of media, like the magic of the Hollywood love story. As luck would have it, we recently caught word of Green With Envy, a Disney film featuring Amy Adams and Jason Segel. Their characters are simple small town folk, off to discover their dreams in a life together, even though it may cost them the one thing that matters most — each other. Awesome, right? Perfect for a site like ToonBarn! Check out the trailer after the break, and let us know if you agree

If there’s one thing Breakthrough Entertainment and Niolan Entertainment are good at teaming up on, it’s the creation of new CG toons. With upcoming hits like The Mooh Brothers and Robot Zoo, the duo is already well on their way to establishing a robust lineup! Now, adding a third to the mix, the pair have begun teasing The Droogles, a mix of 2D, CG, and even puppet animation featured in an all new world. The Droogles, a bunch of critters that look like baby dragons, spend their time on daily adventures, exploring their environment with a sense of wonder, as if for the first time.
