Seth Rogen and Crew Reunite for Sausage Party

Several cast members of the recent apocalyptic buddy comedy The End – Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Kristen Wiig, David Krumholtz and Nick Kroll – will be reuniting as voice cast members for Rogen and Even Goldberg’s first animated feature film, Sausage Party. According to reports, Edward Norton is also in talks to join the cast.

While actor Bill Murray has pretty much excused himself from the Ghostbusters 3, he’s not yet done with the world of the paranormal, as the veteran actor/comedian has recently been added to the cast list of DreamWorks Animation’s 2015 supernatural action comedy feature, B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations. Murray will be joining an already-impressive cast list that consists of Jennifer Coolidge, Octavia Spencer, Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy, Rashida Jones and Matt Bomer.

Deadline.com is reporting that FX Network and actor/comedian Seth Rogen are currently working on a new animated series based on Graham Roumieu’s series of books about the life and adventures of the mythical Bigfoot creature.

Roumieu’s Bigfoot books are mock autobiographies that focuses on a bipolar hopeless romantic Bigfoot who has trouble expressing himself in a social situation, which leads to the poor creature not being able to connect with anyone from Pine Falls, where he and a number of humans and animals peacefully coexist.

Time to get chopping for Kung Fu Panda 2, in theaters Thursday

The countdown has shifted from years, to days, and now down to hours, with every second bringing us closer to the theatrical launch of Kung Fu Panda 2. This Thursday, May 26th, DreamWorks Animation brings the latest and greatest CG adventure to theaters, ready to tell the continuing saga of Po and his quest to study the ancient art. Unfortunately, that study is quickly interrupted, and Po must join with there Furious Five to save the world once more. Oh, and maybe eat a few bowls of noodles and grab a few desserts wherever possible. Gotta be in fighting shape not just for this sequel, but the upcoming Nickelodeon series to follow! So, have you bought your premiere tickets yet?

THIS WEEKEND!!! …wait, no. NEXT weekend. BAH! We were all excited for a bit. I just Kung-Fu’d a few ToonBarn staffers to the ground. Now I have to wait until they wake back up to apologize and let them know that it’s not today, but NEXT week that Kung Fu Panda 2 hits theaters. No worries, I can at least continue to hype it!! So what is there to look forward to? The return of Po, Master Shifu, and the Furious Five, Tigress, Monkey, Viper, Mantis, and Crane! As a new villain arises, Lord Shen, he brings with him a weapon so powerful, it could snuff out the world as we know it — even putting an end to Kung Fu, itself! What happens? We’ll just have to wait and see with the May 26th launch of the DreamWorks Animation and paramount sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2.

He’s quickly becoming the number one star of voice acting in animated projects. He’s starred as Mantis in Kung Fu Panda, and will reprise that role in Kung Fu Panda 2. He was Morton in Horton Hears a Who. He slopped along as B.O.B. in Monsters vs Aliens, played a Ship Captain in Shrek the Third, Hogsqueal in The Spiderwick Chronicles, and even guest starred as Lyle McCarthy on an episode of The Simpsons. Seth Rogen is no stranger to the world of voice acting, and DreamWorks is not done with him! According to recent reports, Rogen will star as the lead character in DreamWorks Animations’ upcoming 3D, CG film titled Boo U. His character, a ghost, of course, is sent back to school to learn how to better scare people. I wonder if that place is Casper’s Scare School…?

DreamWorks casts voices for Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom

Much work, study, and preparation is going into DreamWorks Animations’ upcoming film, Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. The CG and 3D flick, sequel to the successful original Kung Fu Panda, is already known to feature the voice talent of returning stars like Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, and James Hong. Now, the producers have tipped that new voices joining the fray will include Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Victor Garber, to name a few. Better yet, the original release date of June 3rd, 2011 has been upped a few days to May 27th, 2011 – only a few days closer, but we’ll take it!
