David Ayer to Adapt DC’s Suicide Squad for the Big Screen?

There are rumors floating around that Fury and End of Watch Director has been approached by Warner Bros to direct a big screen adaptation of the Suicide Watch comic book. The book focuses on a team consisting of several villains from various DC superheroes’ rogues gallery, with the more notable members including Deadshot and Harley Quinn.

Title for Venom Spin-Off Movie Revealed: Venom Carnage

A recent Deadline.com report has finally revealed the title for Sony’s Venom movie: Venom Carnage. While there’s little to nothing in the way of details yet, the title does hint at a few things. First is the possibility of Cletus Kasady – the psychopath serving as the host for the red symbiote that spawned from Spidey/Venom’s black costume – being part of the film itself. Second, if Carnage is part of the film, there’s no way he’s going to be portrayed as anything but a villain, which means that Venom could be portrayed as an anti-hero like in the comics (he is the star of the movie, after all.)

Sony Confirms Spider-Man Spin-Offs

With comic book movies proving to be the current hot property in Hollywood, it’s not surprising that Sony would want to hold on to the Spider-Man license, and even less unsurprising that they would want to expand the franchise further with a series of spin-offs. The spin-offs were previously just unconfirmed rumors, but recently the studio has announced plans for a Venom and Sinister Six movies.
