ToonBarn talks to Michael Price about LEGO Star Wars: Menace of the Sith

Michael Price, Writer and Executive Producer of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles

ToonBarn is once again honored to have Michael Price as our guest for an interview about LEGO Star Wars: Menace of the Sith, the second of a three-part animated mini-series called The Yoda Chronicles on Cartoon Network. This second installment will be premiering at 8 PM ET on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, on Cartoon Network.

ToonBarn’s Marc Morrell talked to Michael Price, the writer and Executive Producer of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles. Michael, as most of you know by now, has been a full-time staff writer for The Simpsons for many years. Since we have interviewed him 3 times prior to this, including our interview at Times Square in New York City, during the unveiling of the World’s Largest LEGO Model, a Star Wars X-Wing Fighter, we thought we would just get right into this next episode of The Yoda Chronicles.

Top 5 Jedi/Sith from Star Wars

Top 5 Jedi/Sith from Star Wars

We haven’t had a list-type post for quite some time now, so I felt like doing one. I was originally going to title this as Top 5 Characters, but then my personal bias reared its ugly head and I ended up with nothing but force users on the list, so instead of trying to squeeze in non-force sensitives just to make the list well-rounded, I just went with a jedi/sith-oriented list (that I liked. I should have added that one.)

They went on a galaxy-spanning quest to spread terror, forcibly recruiting Hondo and his pirates along the way as they invade planet after planet, on their way to bring the fight to the Jedi. Brave Jedi try to curtail the brothers’ reign of terror, only to realize that they’d have to fight for their lives instead.

Darth Maul returns in Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Darth Maul returns in Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Cartoon Network has let it be known: Darth Maul is on his way back. The Sith Lord from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace began as the apprentice to Darth Sidious. But his demonic red face, horned head, and double-bladed lightsaber have kept the character incredibly powerful: even after his apparent death in the first film, at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi. But what if he wasn’t dead? What if Darth Maul somehow survived? This is the premise being explored later this season on Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars – and frankly, we can’t wait to find out what happens!

Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm have recently released a new video clip that will serve as a teaser for the premiere episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The episode, entitled Darkness on Umbara, will premiere on October 28, Friday 2011 @ 8 PM (ET/PT). The return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars to the small screens will be heralded by an exciting four part story arc that focuses on the clone troopers as they find themselves stranded on a hostile alien planet. Nightsisters brings Savage Opress to Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Nightsisters brings Savage Opress to Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Just waiting to dig into some Clone Wars action scenes? Already a buzz with the Force thanks to the recent Star Wars Blu-ray announcements? Well Cartoon Network has some big stuff planned for you, starting with the newest Nightsisters storyline for season 3 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The three-episode arc introduces Savage Opress, whom George Lucas himself dubbed “Darth Maul’s brother.” With Clancy Brown behind the voice (just as he was for Justice League Unlimited’s Lex Luthor – and SpongeBob’s Mr. Krabs) it seems like this could be the teetering point of giving the Sith full control over the Jedi. Or, perhaps, Savage will stir for the good guys? Mr. Brown himself answers “you don’t really have a choice on who you are when the Nightsisters and Asajj and Count Dooku are involved.” Check out a sneak peek clip
