Official Japanese Trailer for Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice

An official Japanese trailer has just been released for the upcoming Sonic Boom game for the 3DS, titled Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice. It’s a 2.5D platformer, which seems to be the preferred genre for Sonic games, and judging by the trailer, there is a lot to like about the game barring preference over character design.

Sony Working on Sonic the Hedgehog Movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony and producer Neal Moritz are currently at working on bringing Sega’s iconic Sonic the Hedgehog to the big screens via a new full-length feature that uses a hybrid of CG animation and live action. The studio has tapped Japan-based production outfit Marza Animation Planet, which is a division of the Sega Sammy Group.

Sonic Lost World Zelda Crossover Preview

There was a time when a Sonic and The Legend of Zelda crossover would have been impossible, but now that Nintendo and Sega are chums and Sonic and Mario have appeared in a single game several times, Sonic Lost World including a Legend of Zelda stage doesn’t seem surprising anymore. Go Behind the Scenes of Sega’s Sonic Boom Game and Show

A couple of weeks ago, Sega went ahead and revealed their latest Sonic-related project, Sonic Boom, which is a new animated TV series and accompanying game. Reception was a little bit mixed, but for the people who are positive about the project and those who are willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, Sega has just posted a new Behind the Scenes featurette that delves deep into the franchise’s beginnings before moving on to some key information about the new game from Big Red Button. Lastly, it also provides a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming TV series.
