Hour-Long Special Premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Released on Nick.com and Nick App

Starting today until March 15, fans of Nickelodeon’s latest take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise can watch the special one hour premiere “Battle for New York” exclusively on Nick.com and the Nick App, which means you get to watch it a full day ahead of people who will only watch it when it debuts on Nickelodeon this Sunday, March 15, at 11:00 am ET/PT.

The Venture Bros. Returns With an All-New Special

One can never get enough of The Venture Bros., especially since the series seems to take its sweet time during season breaks (at least, compared to other animated series that have no off-seasons.) Thankfully for fans like us, Publick and Hammer’s award-winning adult comedy series will be premiering an all new hour-long special on Monday, January 19 at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim.

Titled ‘The Venture Bros: All This and Gargantua-2,’ the series will follow the Ventures and a bunch of other colorful characters as they come aboard the Gargantua-2 space station and encounter things that are not stated in the travel brochure:

Jay Leno to Guest in Phineas and Ferb Save Summer

Talk Show legend Jay Leno will be serving as a guest voice actor to the upcoming Phineas and Ferb one-hour special, Phineas and Ferb Save Summer, which premieres this coming June 9 at 10 AM on Disney XD.

In Phineas and Ferb Save Summer, Jay Leno will be lending his voice to the character Colonel Contraction, who is Major Monogram’s boss. The special has Phineas, Ferb, and the gang hosting a global summer concert, which coincides with Doofenshmirtz’s latest “-inator” invention moving the Earth, which puts summer itself in jeopardy.

New Promo for the Power Puff Girls: Dance Pantsed

A few days ago, we’ve posted news about the Powerpuff Girls (http://www.toonbarn.com/powerpuff-girls/powerpuff-girls-return-cartoon-network-january/) making their grand return to the network that they helped put on the map, Cartoon Network, via the special titled ‘Dance Pantsed,’ which is scheduled to air on January 20, 2014 at 7:30 PM ET/PT. Now, Cartoon Network wants you to really pay attention as they have also posted a new promo video that will give fans a sneak peek at the upcoming special.

Disney Channel Preps New Pic: Descendants

If you have ever wondered whether Disney’s famous villains were ever emotionally stable and functional enough to raise a family (they’re not spending every single waking hour making the protagonists’ life difficult, right?), look no further than Descendents, which is Disney’s upcoming live-action adventure comedy about the progeny of some of their most iconic villains. Descendents will begin production next spring, and will be slated for a 2015 premiere. Kenny Ortega has been designated as the director.

Fans of Konoha’s famous copy ninja will have something to look forward to in February, as VIZ has just announced that Kakashi will be getting some serious screen time in an upcoming Kakashi-oriented flashback story arc in Naruto Shippuden.

Titled Kakashi: Shadow of the ANBU Black Ops, the special will delve deep into Kakashi’s intriguing past during his time as a member of the mysterious ANBU organization. There are no details provided yet, February 2014 is right around the corner so we imagine that we don’t have to wait too long.

Sony and The Smurfs Start Their Halloween Early

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Peyo’s The Smurfs will be celebrating Halloween early this year, via the release of The Smurfs: The Legend of Smurfy Hollow on September 10. The TV special will feature state of the art animation techniques that blend CG animation and traditional hand-drawn techniques. It will also reunite the stars of the blockbuster film The Smurfs 2, such as Alan Cumming, Anton Yelchin, Hank Azaria, and Fred Armisen.
