Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters today

The long wait is finally over; Captain America is back in theaters. Now, we say “back” loosely, as his previous stint starring Matt Salinger isn’t all that memorable, outside of comedy. Chris Evans hopes to reverse the tide, using the mighty of Marvel and Disney to bring The First Avenger to prominence. Theaters are already a bit crowded, with Transformers: Dark of the Moon still riding high, and the phenomenal success of HP7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, but Cap will look to carve his own territory. As the role of this individual and relationship is so incredibly important to the mythos of the Disney character, Marvel Studios was sure to select a big name for the spot, looking to Oscar nominated actor Stanley Tucci. Tucci joins a cast already teaming with stars, like Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Hugo Weaving, and Hayley Atwell.
