Peter Jackson has recently confirmed that there are plans to revisit the Tintin movie franchise via a sequel, though the director has clarified that he has to prioritize his commitment to the Tolkien franchise first.

“As soon as I’m free of The Hobbit, I’ll be going back into doing Tintin. It was held up by The Hobbit, but we have every intention of doing another Tintin movie and it’s just waiting on me to be done with these Hobbit movies,” says Jackson in a recent interview with Badtaste.it.

Steven Spielberg will be executive producing a live action TV series based on the massively popular video game franchise from Microsoft, Halo. The series will feature exclusive interactive Xbox One content that is created with help from 343 Industries and Xbox Entertainment Studios, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Released by Bungie back in 2001, Halo was a first person shooter that focuses on an interstellar war between humanity and an alliance of aliens known as the Covenant. Majority of the games puts the player in the role of Master Chief John-117, who is a cybernetically enhanced human super soldier aided by an AI companion named Cortana.

We’re at just about 100 days until Steven Spielberg can bring Tintin back to the adventuring world in the upcoming 3D epic, The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn. With some great help from producer Peter Jackson and a trio of writers (Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish) the adventure revives Georges “Hergé” Remi’s comic book creation with motion capture CG technology, taking cues from three classic tales; The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham’s Treasure. As we approach the theatrical, IMAX, and RealD 3D release date of December 23rd, just a few days shy of Christmas, the hype train begins picking up steam with screen grabs, teaser trailers, and posters. The Tintin movie might finally be inching its way towards a theater near you!  Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment have just begun work on the 3D motion capture feature film The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie, scheduled for release in 2011, is based on Georges Remi’s character, Tintin, a young reporter with boundless energy.
