VIDEO: LEGO Batman vs. Superman from BrickNerd Studios

The idea of Batman going toe to toe with Superman is a timeless and extremely divisive topic that has led to many online arguments, and has been addressed various times by DC themselves. The iconic match-up is so inconclusive that there is always room for more takes. Enter: BrickNerd Studios with a short based on the battle.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Comic-Con Teaser Will Be Con-Exclusive

If you did not attend the San Diego Comic-Con this year but kept yourself updated through other people’s updates on social media, chances are you’ve managed to catch a clip or two of the Batman v. Superman teaser that was shown to the attendees, and chances are that clip is already gone now after being taken down by the copyright holders or the hosting provider. Turns out you’ll most likely never see that clip again.

Reason: Warner Bros. President of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Sue Kroll, has stated that the clip will never be officially released online, as it is meant only for fans dedicated enough to attend the Comic-Con:

Doomsday Rumored to Appear in Batman v. Superman

While there are a lot of confirmed details regarding the cast for Batman v. Superman, some of the actors’ roles are not set in stone (or confirmed.) One new pervasive rumor concerns the appearance of one of Superman’s deadliest enemies, the genetically engineered alien Doomsday, who was responsible for “killing” the Man of Steel at one point in time.

Time01

After crafting a monumentally over-the-top plan to take over the world by expanding the polar ice caps, mastermind Lex Luthor is missing and widely presumed dead. One thousand years later, Luthor is discovered and memorialized in the Legion of Super Heroes’ museum, where the teenage super hero, Karate Kid, accidentally releases him (where’s Mr. Miyagi when you need him?). The museum contains both the knowledge of Superman’s secret identity and a way to time travel, in the form of the mysterious Time Trapper. Once Lex Luthor is free, he quickly sets out on a mission to permanently erase Superman from the time stream.

Warner Brothers Reveals DC-Related Big Screen Plans

Over the weekend, The Wall Street Journal managed to get Warner Bros. To confirm their plans over their DC Comics properties, showing that the studio is intent on catching up to Marvel as far as comic book movies are concerned.

According to Warner Bros., director Zack Snyder will be following up his Superman vs. Batman (tentative title) with a team-up movie – a full-blown Justice League movie. The Superman vs. Batman feature for its part is already shooting, with both Wonder Woman and Cyborg confirmed as having roles in the story.

Wonder Woman, as previously reported, is played by Gal Gadot, while the role of Cyborg went to Ray Fisher. They will be joining the previously confirmed Ben Affleck and the returning Henry Cavill as Batman and Superman, respectively. All actors will be reprising the roles for Justice League.
