Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Mitefall series finale

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Mitefall series finale

For three seasons and 64 episodes, Batman: The Brave and the Bold has been one of the most fun, most unique cartoons we can ever recall – which is an especially impressive feat considering just how many Batman cartoons there have been in the past few years. But, BatB found a way to present the Dark Knight as the lighter Caped Crusader, even to today’s “grim n’gritty-fiending” audiences, appealing to kids and adults alike, with action, humor, and thousands of in-jokes to animation and DC Comics fans. Now, as we work towards the 65th episode on November 18th, we’re not only facing the season finale, but this Friday’s toon marks the series finale. But the folks behind the cartoon have saved the best of all for last, with the presentation of Mitefall.

Pixar releases first trailer for Brave

Pixar Releases First Trailer for ‘Brave’

If the recent still image for the Toy Story short (which will be shown along with The Muppets movie) isn’t enough to get your Pixar senses tingling, then the new trailer for Pixar’s next feature film definitely will. Scheduled for release on June 22, 2012, ‘Brave’ is Pixar’s latest CG animated feature, and its first fairy tale film. ‘Brave’ is a milestone because it is also Pixar’s first animated film that has a dark and more mature tone (at least when compared to their previous films.)

Disney and Studio Ghibli release trailer for The Secret World of Arrietty

Disney Releases U.S. Trailer for Studio Ghibli’s ‘The Secret World of Arrietty’

Walt Disney has recently released a trailer for Studio Ghibli’s The Borrower Arriety, with a few key differences from the original Japanese release: The movie has been localized for US release as The Secret World of Arriety, and it is now dubbed in English. So there will be no need for you to import the original and hurt your eyes squinting at small subtitles. Directed by Studio Ghibli animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi with screenplay by Keiko Niwa and Hayao Miyazaki himself, The Secret World of Arriety tells the story of a family of tiny little people who leave within the walls and under the floors of a human house. The Studio Ghibli movie itself is based on the novel The Borrowers, by author Mary Norton.

Puss in Boots in Theaters in October in Days

Puss in Boots in Theaters in October in Days

This Friday, theater goers and cat lovers alike will rejoice as DreamWorks Animation releases Puss in Boots. Not-so-technically speaking, this is the fifth cinematic adventure in the Shrek franchise, though the mighty green ogre is likely not in the film at all – or at least not in a starring role; it’s a big fantasy world, so there might be swamp or two. However, the sidekick who found his way to Team Green in Shrek 2 is now standing on his own feet in a luxurious pair of boots. Shown in CG and the now required 3D, Puss in Boots follows the early days of the swashbuckler’s life as he steers an adventure years before we met up with him in the Shrek franchise. Take a look at the teaser trailer, and get yourself ready, because Puss in Boots is in theaters starting this Friday, October 28th!
