Bakugan video game coming to your console of choice

Activision has announced plans to release a Bakugan video game on pretty much every popular home console: Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS2 (sorry PSP!). The NOW Production-developed game will be released this fall, and will feature “intense battles, the ability to create your own Brawler, cartoon quality graphics and multiplayer combat.” Check out the teaser after the break!

Pokemon folks talk “Platinum”

Pokemon Creators talk "Platinum"IGN recently had the chance to talk to the folks behind the  upcoming “Pokemon Platinum Version” game, due out in late March for the Nintendo DS. They got a bunch of great behind-the-scenes info out of the pair, producer Jyunichi Masuda and designer Takeshi Kawachimaru.  You can check out the full full interview at IGN, but here’s a sample after the break!

Chaotic: the video game

Chaotic: the video gameActivision now has plans to release a video game version of the trading card game Chaotic.  Those of you who have been turned off by how expensive collecting the cards can get now have a cheaper and more fun alternative that you can play on your Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, or PS3 later this year!  The game promises “vibrant, fully-realized 3D environments” and “various characters from the best-selling trading card game and hit animated series.”   Nice!

TMNT: Smash Up trailerThough it’s not exactly promoting hearts and love here on Valentine’s Day, the latest trailer for the upcoming TMNT game does promote fun!  TMNT: Smash Up, a brawl 25 years in the making, is Ubisoft’s latest take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting game.  The Nintendo Wii game is said to play similarly to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the latest trailer just begins to hint at the fun!  Check out the video below, after the break.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FightersNew screen shots have been revealed for the upcoming TMNT game that we talked about a few weeks back.  Still little is known about the four-player fighting game, which features the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as their enemies and friends, in melee battles similar to the Super Smash Bros. franchise.  Check out some more of the screen shots after the break:

The good folks at IGN got a chance to review the latest game from the Star Wars universe, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance.  That’s a mouthful!  Here’s a bit of what they had to say:

The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance is a very well made action game for Nintendo’s handheld — not just for Star Wars fans, but for anybody after a quality portable title. Yeah, I’ve got a couple of issues with it. Characters could definitely walk faster in exploration mode. The camera is occasionally obtrusive. But the production values engulfing the game are well beyond most DS efforts.

Bolt charges to a big weekend

Bolt

Bolt had an impressive opening weekend in theaters over the past few days, raking in over $26 million dollars.  Amazingly enough, that wasn’t enough for first or second place, as those honors went to Twilight and Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie.  But Bolt held it’s own against these amazingly tough odds with millions of fans lending a hand.  …or paw!  Did you see it yet?
