NYCC Exclusive: Voltron Panel & Interviews

Voltron NYCC Panel

Voltron: Form Blazing Fun! was absolutely the funnest panel we have ever had the pleasure to attend. It was held at New York Comic Con on October 14, 2012, and covered EXCLUSIVELY by ToonBarn. This extremely fan-centered panel, Hosted by Jeremy Corray, Creative Director at World Events Productions (the Creators of Voltron), had a little bit of everything for fans of all ages. Half-way through the panel, Jeremy went through the crowd to have them ask questions. Throughout the whole panel, he gave out Voltron Prizes, from drawing ticket numbers from the tickets that were given to every person who entered the panel. And to top it off, Jeremy shared rare footage from Season 2 of Voltron Force directly from his hard drive (none of which could be recorded in our footage – TOP SECRET!). All throughout the hour of Forming Blazing Fun, Jeremy just got crazy with the Voltron fans.

Voltron Force: Deceive and Conquer Review

Voltron Force: Deceive and Conquer

Voltron Force: Season 1 has one final episode remaining. We started this season with Sky Marshal Wade in control of the Galaxy Alliance, after Voltron had been banished, and the Voltron Force had become insignificant without their Lions. The Voltron Force had formed an underground resistance against Wade’s tyranny. 3 Cadets joined the ranks of the Voltron Force, and their first mission was to retrieve the keys to 4 of the Lions from Wade himself, while Commander Keith retrieved Black Lion on a solo mission.

Prince Lotor of Planet Doom, who had been re-animated by Maahox using an evil energy called Haggarium, had now become King Lotor. His single goal was to destroy Voltron. Between the various Robeasts sent by Lotor to destroy Voltron, and Wade’s obsession over Voltron, the Voltron Force has had their hands full. Though, Voltron has always triumphed. In many instances, it was the Cadets, and their unique powers, that saved the day.

Voltron Force: Army of One Review

Voltron Force: Army of One

We are getting close to the end of Season One of Voltron Force on Nicktoons. This all started on June 16, 2011, with the 3-part New Defenders Trilogy. We have been on a wild ride ever since. From the introduction of the Cadets, including the back story on how the old Voltron Series led into this series, to the Cadets becoming full-fledged members of the Voltron Force team, we have seen some amazing stuff. Half-way through the season, Sky Marshall Wade was defeated, and the Galaxy Alliance was back in good order. However, Wade had escaped his trial and joined with the Lider, Kala, to become the beast that was able to re-form after the destruction of AwesomeTron, the Cadets version of Voltron. Will the Wade/Kala Lider survive the end of the season? The last two episodes promise to have a ton of action, and maybe we’ll get to see whether Daniel gets to become a member of the Voltron Force, and whether King Lotor cuts ties with Maahox for good. By the way, one question that still lingers in our minds: does anyone know how Sven’s son is doing? Allura promised to take good care of him, but since she left him with the Nanny that raised her, we haven’t heard about him at all. We thought they would at least check up on him once in a while.
