Ben 10: Omniverse for the Wii

Introducing Ben 10: Omniverse's Co-Op Partner, Rook

I recently took my Wii out of its box (I’ve been gaming exclusively on the PC nowadays, so the Wii had to retire back to its packaging) because I got a hold of the Wii version of Ben 10: Omniverse, which I found at a local game store being sold for a measly 500 pesos (roughly $12). I felt ecstatic that I found a brand new copy selling for less than half of its retail price. I also remembered that we have a lot of Ben 10 fans on the site, so I might as well try and give you my take on the game.

I won’t beat around the bush or waste your time with several hundred words before you find out if Ben 10: Omniverse for the Wii is good or not. It’s not. It turns out there is a pretty good reason why it’s marked down on the store. Now, if you’re interested in what exactly made the game a disappointment, read on:

Disney Releases New Trailer For Infinity: Toy Box

Disney Releases New Trailer For Infinity: Toy Box

Disney has just released a brand new trailer for their upcoming game Disney Infinity, which will be released on the Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, and PC on August 18. The game will allow players to enjoy games set in a wide variety of settings and featuring popular characters from Disney’s rich library of films and shows, including settings and characters from Pixar (which is part of Disney now, in case you’ve been living under a rock.)

Disney Infinity will use actual collectible character figures that come to life in the game via the Infinity Base Reader, providing experiences that are true to the franchises that they came from (similar to the Skylanders game.) There’s also a feature that allows characters from various Disney and Pixar films to play together in a virtual “Toy Box.”

The PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Wii U ports of Disney Infinity will be identical (barring minor differences resulting from each console’s capabilities), but there are no plans for cross-platform multiplayer at this point. The PC version will use codes that are purchased online instead of the Infinity Base Reader, the figurines, and discs.

Nintendo Celebrates the Legend of Zelda’s 25th Anniversary

The Legend of Zelda

Happy 2012 my fellow barn animals!

As 2012 opens we look back at the year 2011 to see what was the best and most inspiring thing that came into the year. What was it you say? Why it’s the 25th anniversary of “The Legend of Zelda” of course!

In 2011 Nintendo celebrated the 25th anniversary of The legend of Zelda in 2011’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (Otherwise known as E3 expo) and opened their conference with an Orchestra performance. Not only did Nintendo celebrate,  the fans also joined in the celebration by remembering all of the past games they have been playing for over the years. Either being  old fans from the NES days or new fans who are only starting to get hooked on Link’s current gen adventures. The young hero Link has been battling Ganondorf  and winning our hearts all throughout these 25 years, as he went on tirelessly saving princess Zelda and slaying wicked monsters.

Lets take a  quick look into the past and see how Link started his Adventure (a gaming history lesson you all need to learn if you want to be in the gaming industry.
