Batman vs. Superman Gets Official Title – Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

While people have already become comfortable with referring to the upcoming Man of Steel sequel as Batman vs. Superman, it’s still common knowledge that it’s just a working title and that Warner Bros. plans to give it an official one. Now, Warner Bros has finally come through and announced an official title to Zack Snyder’s DC superhero extravaganza. The title? Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman vs. Superman Casts Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor

After all the casting rumors and speculation that saw names like Ben Kingsley and Bryan Cranston being bandied about, Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman film has finally revealed an unexpected casting choice for Lex Luthor: Jesse Eisenberg, who may have the acting chops for the role but many people consider too young (on the basis that some characters in the movie are depicted as older than their mainstream comic book versions).

Aside from Jesse Eisenberg, the Man of Steel sequel also casts Jeremy Irons in the role of Alfred the butler. The two actors will be joining a A-list cast that already includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and series newcomers Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Batman vs. Superman Delayed

It looks like all the attention that Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel is getting isn’t enough to ensure that we’ll get our Batman vs. Superman fix within a couple of years, as TheWrap has recently reported that the film has been delayed until May 6, 2016. According to the report, over ten months of delay is the result of the studio being given enough time to “realise fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”

Batman vs. Superman’s Wonder Woman Revealed

While people are too busy mulling over Ben Affleck’s turn at the cape and cowl, Snyder got busy with the casting of another major character from Batman vs. Superman: Wonder Woman (well, she might be just a cameo, but it’s hard not to take notice of things when you’ve got DC’s Trinity in the same live action movie).

According to the announcement, the princess of power will be played by actress Gal Gadot, who is most famous for her role in Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. Non-movie buffs will probably recognize her better as the former title holder of Miss Israel. A lot of fans are pretty skeptical over the casting, citing Gadot’s lean physique as not being a good match to Diana’s toned, muscular stature. But Zack Snyder is confident that Gadot can do the role justice:
