While the recent trailer my have lead people to believe that Michael Bay’s big screen reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is already wrapped, sealed and ready for delivery, it seems like there are still things that need doing before our eyeballs get their fill of the nostril/lip-heavy interpretation.
According to a recent report from Deadline.com, Paramount has just cast Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub as the voices of Leonardo and Splinter, respectively. People who have been following the developments will remember that the two roles were previously credited to Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn. Nothing has changed on that part – they are still the people who were motion captured for the characters’ movements. Knoxville and Shalhoub were just brought in by the studio in order to dub voices over the top.
