Lena Headey Guest stars in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Veteran actress and star of HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lena Headey, will be lending her voice to the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles special titled “Bug Busters” on November 17 at 9:30 AM ET/PT. The half-hour special will see the Turtles trying to find a way to exterminate a citywide infestation of oozesquitos. Headey will be voicing the character Big Mama, which is a giant spider yokai that shoots webs and hides under a human disguise.

In Bug Busters, Big Mama is the prim proprietress of the Hidden City fight ring, and nobody gets in her way – not even the John Cena-voiced Baron Draxum. You can check out a clip below:

It is worth mentioning that Leadey also played the character Ma-Ma in the 2012 action film Dredd. Ma-Ma is also an influencial female antagonist, which seems to be a role frequently assigned to Headey. Fortunately, the actress’ exceptional talent allows her to portray each of her villainous characters uniquely, preventing any sort of typecasting.
