Nickelodeon’s Ninja Turtles to Appear on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Nickelodeon has just announced that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be venturing out of the sewers in order to join all the happy festivities at the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan, via their very own rocking float. The Parade will be taking place on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, where the turtles will be joining other Nick favorites such as Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Squarepants.
The parade will feature Nick star Rachel Crow singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” at the Dora the Explorer – Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure float, which will lead viewers on an exploration of the past, present, and future of Christmas while teaching Swaiper the true meaning of the holiday.
Pop culture icon SpongeBob SquarePants will be making his ninth appearance as a character balloon on this year’s Thanksgiving Day parade. While the 62 feet high balloon looks square, it is actually a single chamber sphere intricately shaped with the help of over 600 internal tie lines.
